Mumbai Express audio was released on April 4th at Ramanaidu Studios. This movie is presented by Kamalhasan under Rajarajeswari Combines Banner produced by Harish Cherukuri and Harigopal Krishnamurthy. Music is scored by Ilayaraja and is going to be released in the market by Surya Music. The interesting issue in this movie is that Kamal sang a song. K. Viswanadh, Murali Mohan and Ramanaidu attended as the chief guests. K. Viswanath released the audio and handed over the first unit to Ramanidu.

Speaking on the occasion K. Viswanath said that Kamalhasan works with dedication and we are lucky to have such a great artist. He recalled a scene from Sagarasangamam in which Kamalhasan has a great ease to shift the mood instantly. Later he explained that when we are shooting for the invitation scene for Delhi dance programme, Jayaprada shows the invitation and at the last he sees his name and cries and laughs immediately, but the laugh scene was not discussed before. I shouted laugh at once when the crying scene is going on and he respomded greatly with ease and if it happens with any artist, he must have spoiled the scene. He also said that every one enjoys kamals acting and I hope both the audio and movie will be a big success.

Director Singeetam Srinivasarao said that this picture will be as cool weather in summer. Kamalhasan used to tell the story till the post production work and the entire unit enjoyed hearing the story. First we thought of no songs in the movie and went to Ilayaraja, but the music he gave for the situations maked us to increase the songs. He gave a very excellent music.

Kamal Hasan said that I congratulate every youngster here; I mean to say that for every one with young heart here. Till date we keep calling each other and congratulate each other for the films that we have done together. Singeetam Srinivas has encouraged me a lot in all the ways and I became a writer from Amavasya chandrudu due to him. I hope that this movie will be good family entertainer.

Ramanaidu on the occasion, I am a big fan of Kamalhasan and Indrudu Chandrudu was his first picture in my banner. When we first tried for the dates, Kamalhasan's brother Charu hasan said that its hard to adjust the schedule now, but after some days kamal called me directly and said that we will be doing this movie. Later on he told me that he will enquire about me and my background and will do the movie. His performance will be realistic. He also recalled the cold storage scene from Indrudu Chandrudu and told him that we will do this scene using the dupe, but he did it really. I had a desire to do a movie with both Kamalhasan and Viswanadh, but I want to do a movie which brings rewards and not the awards as of Swaraabhishekam and I hope that this Mumbai Express will do great.

Murali Mohan said that Kamal Hasan is one of the versatile actors of our country. This movie will be definite hit. Vennelakanti also said that I am very greatful to Kamalhasan who forced me to get this chance to write the dialogues for Telugu Version. Producers thanked each and every one for attending the event and we are very happy that Kamalhasan came for this audio function.
