Bus Stop Success Meet
Prince and Sri Divya starrer ‘Bus Stop’, directed by Maruthi and jointly produced by Bellamkonda Suresh and Bellamkonda Ganesh Babu under Lakshmi Narasimha Productions banner opened to theaters recently. On the eve of the film running with success talk, the unit celebrated its success on Monday at FNCC in Hyderabad. This success meet was attended by B A Raju, Bellamkonda Suresh, Ganesh Babu, director Maruthi, Prince, Sri Divya, music director Jeevan Babu, Mahendra Reddy, Hasika, Sashank, F M Babai and others.
Producer Bellamkonda Suresh said, “Bus Stop proved once again that the Telugu audience will always appreciate and encourage good films. We have released the movie in 300 theaters and planning to increase the theaters to 50 more. This indicates how big hit is the movie. Many had a wrong opinion on the film. But according to me ‘Bus Stop’ can be watched by family audience too. I would definitely take this film to Temil, Kannada and Hindi audiences. If Maruthi is willing and has time for it, I would definitely allow him to direct in all the three languages. I’m sure the Telugu film industry will see talented artists if Maruthi continues to encourage new talent. At this juncture we require new technicians for the industry. My wish to make a film with new talent has come true with this film. I take this opportunity to thank my crew and Telugu audience for giving me such a huge success.”
B A Raju said, “A good message has been passed on to the youth and their parents through Rao Ramesh’s character. The children will certainly think of their parents if they are given the required freedom. Maruthi crafted this scene brilliantly.”
Director Maruthi said, “I prepared this script four years ago and approached many producers. They appreciated my story but were not confident about it. However, I was not disappointed. I believed in my content and decided to direct this film. Finally I found a good producer Suresh who gave me the opportunity to direct the film even without listening to the entire script. I’m very happy that I was able to live up to his expectations for the trust he had on me. ‘Bus Stop’ is getting good response even in ‘C’ centers. I never even dreamt that my second film would be released in 300 theaters. All credit goes to Bellamkonda Suresh. Rao Ramesh’s character is getting superb response. We can provide more good films in near future with creative thinking and new experiments. Telugu audience will always encourage the trendy films.” He concluded saying; “I will neither think of my package nor my past. My present focus will only be on how to film all my 15 stories.”
Prince, Sri Divya, music director J.B., F M Babai and other team members also spoke and expressed their happiness.
