Cine Bhasmasura Drama Curtain Raiser Press Meet

A theatrical play titled ‘Cine Bhasmasura’, which is being produced by Seema Azharuddin under Kartal Productions banner with Uday Bhanu Garikipati as director, will be screened on November 21. It will feature senior actors such as Babu Mohan, Tanikella Bharani, senior Naresh, Shivaji Raja, Brahmaji, Kota Sankara Rao, Suma Kanakala, Anita Chowdhary, Vizag Prasad, Ravi Varma, classical dancer Sarala Kumari, TV artist Nanda Kishore, Suresh Kumar, Supriya, Sanjeev, Padmanabha Swami, Siva, Nikhil, Krishna Chaitanya, Adithi, Avanthi and some other actors from the industry. Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry garu and Keervani garu will provide the introduction song. On this occasion, a press meet was held on Tuesday, i.e. on October 3 in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the press meet, Ms. Seema Asharuddin said, “There is good encouragement for theatre plays in foreign countries also. In the same way, in our country also there is good encouragement for theatre plays of other languages. Our aim is do our bit in the growth of Telugu theatre. The play will be screened on November 21 at Ravindra Bharathi. Interesting thing is that the play will feature senior actors from the film industry. Thanks to everyone who are part of this play.”

Uday Bhanu Garikipati said, “I’m very happy that Seema Asharuddin is encouraging theatre plays. The play will have 25 characters. Not only theater artist, but also artists from film industry are playing. An actor in the play gets injured in the low back. The play is all the fuss made by the actor’s relatives and friends. ‘Cine Bhasmasura’ is a full-fledged comedy play.”

On this occasion, Tanikella Bharani said, “We all are stage actors before entering into the film industry. At present, theatre play is in the critical position. Though audience are ready to watch theatre plays, artists are not coming forward to play. There is good encouragement for theatre plays in foreign countries also. Bollywood artists like Om Puri and Naseeruddin Shah will give performances in the play whenever they find time. I’m very happy that now Telangana Government is encouraging theatre plays.”

Babu Mohan said, “I performed in stage shows during my school days. Later I entered into film industry. The practice I’m doing for the performance in stage show has given me much satisfaction.”

Senior Naresh said, “I entered into the film industry when I was 7. I performed in the stage shows when I was 13. Now 19000 artists are getting pensions. I’m very happy to be part of this show.”

Kota Sankar Rao, Brahmaji, Vizag Prasad and some others were present at the press meet.
