Aditya Mehta Foundation Felicitation to Asian Para Badminton Championshop Medalists at Inorbit Mall, Hyderabad

Aditya Mehta Foundation has added seven more International medals in its bucket.

It has always stood up in supporting its extended family in the best possible way.

This organization with support from Sports Authority of Telangana State, Telangana Tourism, Border Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo- Tibetan Border Police Force is actively bringing awareness and aid to athletes with disabilities.

The founder Aditya Mehta himself is a double silver medalist at Asian Paracycling Championship and also with several other achievements to his credit.

The foundation was started in the year 2013 with the vision to help athletes with disabilities. In the matter of just an year, these athletes won around 20 medals for the country.

The badminton champions who were sponsored about a month ago, finished their events at the Asian Para Badminton Championship, and have won SEVEN MEDALS! Adding these 7 to the 9 International medals won by them over the course of this year sums up to a whopping 16 International medals in one year. India truly is en-route to the top of the table at Para Sports.

Here are their Individual results Mark Dharmai : 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medal in the SS6 Category, Manoj Sarkar : 1 Gold and 1 Bronze medal in the SL3 Category, Anand Kumar : 1 Bronze medal in the SL4 Category, Sukant Kadam : 1 Bronze medal in the SL4 Category. Encouragement comes through acknowledgement! Hence to appreciate the hard work and determination of these para sports persons, who despite of their physical constraints were successful in bringing laurels to the nation, Aditya Mehta Foundation is going to felicitate them today.

The organization is also going to add one more name into its beneficiaries list. Tinkesh Kaushik who is a triple amputee will be presented with prothesis worth Rs. 8lakh. Kaushik met with 11,000W electric shock when he was 9 in 2002. He was thrown 2feet away with his left arm displaced and hanging on the branch of a tree. Both his legs were totally burnt.

He has recently managed to run 6km on with his prosthetic leg. And also had successfully finished 3km Swacch Ability Run held on 3rd December at Noida on International Disabilities Day. Aditya Mehta Foundation respects the efforts put in by Tinkesh and has seen a spark him which will one day take him to great heights.

In order to help him shine bright just as any other abled person, the organization has come forward to donate prosthesis to him and will also be trained in para-sports later on.

Ms Shilpa Reddy and Ms Regina Cassandra, two of the eminent trustees of this organization will do the honours. Also accompanying them is Ms Lakshmi Manchu who has always been very generous and is involved in social welfare programs.

AMF has recently held the curtain raiser ride to the upcoming Infinity Ride from Attari (Wagah Border) to New Delhi flagged off by Shri V P Singh Badnore, Governor of Punjab. A Skill Development Centre has also been established by Border Security Force in collaboration with Adtya Mehta Foundation at BSF Training Centre, Chawla. This Skill Development Centre will be the orgnaization's first big step towards its vision to make India the World's best country in Para-Sports.

It will be a place where any person with a disability can make his dreams come true.

Aditya Mehta Foundation in association with Central Armed Police Forces has started regular coaching sessions for persons with disabilities. This coaching programme comprises of para-swimming at Kolkata, para-cycling at Hyderabad, para-badminton at Bangalore and wheelchair lawn tennis at both Ahmedabad and Chennai. Persons with disabilities from any part of the country can get trained through this at no cost.
