"Hyderabad Arts Festival (HAF) in association with Ohri's group organized the HAF Smiles. Supported by JCI Trends and Star Care Foundation", HAF Smiles is the Annual Charity Program of the HAF, where 300 underprivileged children were given a royal treatment and fed sumptuously.
The event is organized as part of ongoing Hyderabad Arts Festival—Season 5, the "India's Longest Performing Arts Festival". These 300 under privileged kids were brought from various orphanages.
Organizers have provided them a carnival day out that is fun filled with a lot of games, interactive engagement, food, entertainment and much more.
Apart from giving kids a great day, they were also provided with a Power Packed Goodie Bag as a remembrance of the day. The bag they are proud to own, say Ramakrishna, Manoj, Anand, the trio behind the HAF. The bag contains personal hygiene and educational products.
HAF Smiles conducted a FREE medical checkup as part of the daylong event for these kids. A team of doctors from Aaditya Hospital conducted the camp and prepared a health card of each of the child which will detail the height, weight and other physical examination findings. These cards were handed over to the volunteers from those Orphanages for further action if required.
HAF Smiles also conducted a drawing and coloring competition in association with Flora Fauna Foundation, which was personally conducted and handled by Mrs. Tejdeep Kaur Menon, DGP - Special Protection Force, Telangana State on the topic of environment as part of the recently celebrated World Environment Day. The event was organized to sensitize kids towards a greener tomorrow.
Younger kids were given pre-sketched sheets to be colored and little older kids were provided with blank sheets to sketch their thoughts and further color the same.
Mrs. Tejdeep Kaur Menon is one of the Honorary Advisors on the Board of HAF. She has adopted the Ameenpur Lake and conducts such events from time to time to ensure more and more people take part in such initiatives to give our next generation a better planet.
