The Inclusive Bike Rally is the curtain raiser event for Dr Reddy’s Foundation’s nationwide campaign – Breaking Barriers at the Workplace
To mark this year’s International Day of Persons with Disability, DRF will launch this nation-wide campaign from Hyderabad with a rally. More than 150 professional bikers will ride slowly across the streets of the city to disseminate this message. They will be accompanied by DRF students with disabilities to highlight the importance.
The biker groups will distribute flyers and make pit stops to take this campaign to the man-on-the-street and make every effort to promote the message on social media.
Following this event, a smaller team of bikers will take this message across the country starting in January 2018 and will touch base at DRF’s centers for Persons with Disabilities across all the 12 states where DRF operates. The campaign will culminate on next Dec 03 on International Day for Persons with Disability 2018.
At each of these cities (12 or more cities across the country) DRF will conduct a sensitization workshop targeting employers to help them understand the need to be inclusive and diverse in their employment policies. This yearlong campaign will emphasize the importance of workplace inclusion and highlight the important work being undertaken by DRF to ensure young persons with disabilities can contribute actively to the country’s growth.
Dr. Reddy’s Foundation (DRF) is committed to train and support young persons with disabilities to live with dignity. This campaign is to help more young people with disabilities to get employment.
