Radio Mirchi in association with Inorbit mall presents “Ugadi Vantala Pandaga”
Hyderabad, March 23rd, 2012: Ugadi celebrations could not have got better with the best food and best of shopping shopping!!!
Radio Mirchi in association Inorbit mall organized “Ugadi Vantala Pandaga” bringing out the best of traditional cuisines savoured during the festive occasion across the state. Mirchi listeners registered for the competiton through an on-air contest on Radio Mirchi. The the ‘Grand Finale’ was held on 23rd March, 2012.
This Ugadi the spirits at Radio Mirchi is at an all time high, with RJs emphasizing on the six traditional tastes (Sweet, hot, sour, bitter, salty and pungent) of this festival. RJs turned taste ambassadors and were heard patronizing a particular taste by associating themselves to it and sharing recipes that the component can be used in. Each RJ picks 3 listeners depending on the creativity of their recipes. 18 shortlisted contestants were seen battling it out at the Inorbit Mall. Rock Star ‘Manchu Manoj’ graced the occasion meeting the 6 finalist and presenting them with vouchers by Inorbit.
“Ugadi is a very important festival for us and marks the beginning of a new year. It is celebrated with great devotion throughout Andhra Pradesh. I’m quite thrilled to be a part of such an interesting activity.” commented Rock Star Manchu Manoj.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Ahujha – Cluster Head Andhra Pradesh said, “We, at Mirchi, strongly believe in local connect and region specific programming and the Ugadi celebrations is a great initiative to connect with the listeners of Andhra Pradesh.
