Book - Valiyachalai Times The name 'Valiyachalai' doesnt really ring a bell immediately to most of us. But as we think a little more, we may have two guesses. Either it is the name of a place in South India or a South Indian dish, or maybe a South Indian attire..if we can think more wildly some of us can even guess it to some form of South Indian Martial art or something.
But in reality, Valiyachalai is the name of a street in Trivandrum that houses one_of_the biggest Agraharams in India.
'Valiyachalai Times' is a touching tale of a typical South Indian famil in that Agraharam who fight for their Independence against the rigid views for the society and family, even before the Country attained its freedom.
That makes the Novel take us back in time, live with the Country that was in the past, lifestyle that existed and the beauty that was never explored in the silent streets of the Agraharam.
I will not say everything and will keep something for the Author to talk too..
