LG Electronics announces the winner of Mallika-E-Kitchen
• The fourth consecutive year of Mallika-e-kitchen cooking contest
• 24 amateur chefs selected from over 5000 contestants in over 100 cities
• Hyderabad gears up for the grand finale
• A total of Rs. 30 crore spent on in the MWO category
Hyderabad, 12th October, 2012: LG Electronics, the global giant in cutting-edge technology and innovative products, today rolled out the much awaited grand finale of the fourth season of Mallika-e-Kitchen Cooking Contest 2012 at Hotel Park, Hyderabad. The contest, which has been running successfully for four years now, drew to close today and announced the name of the winner after much anticipation.
Mallika-e-Kitchen contest has been a hit from the first season as it provided women all around the nation an opportunity to display their culinary skills at a national level. It is a three stage cooking competition which was organized nationwide starting from 9th June, 2012. The contest, * which is built on the foundation of culinary skills and expertise, received an overwhelming response from not just the participants but also the viewers of the show. More than 5000 contestants participated in the contest from over a 100 cities in 3 months.
The Grand finale of “Mallika-e-kitchen 2012” was a live cooking competition among 24 finalists selected pan India to prove their culinary skills. All contestants were asked to cook a Main Course dish within a time span of 90 minutes in LG Convection Microwave oven. The whole idea was to promote Healthy Cooking through the new innovative range of MWOs by LG Electronics India. After the tough competition of talent and skills, winners were selected based on predefined parameters related to taste, texture and innovation.
The "Mallika-e-kitchen” Cooking Contest was judged by Cooking Connoisseur & Mentor Ms. Nfta Mehta and Chef Mandaar Sukhtankar, widely known for their cooking and recipes they have created Three winners were selected.

About the new Microwave Oven Range:
LG Electronics pioneer in microwave oven has introduced the World’s 1st Charcoal Lighting Heater TM Microwave Ovens. Recently 38L capacity Charcoal Lighting Heater is introduced apart from 32L which is already part of product portfolio. These ovens are priced between Rs. 23,470 to Rs. 44,990. LG has also introduced India’s highest 301 Auto Cook menus at the click of button, including popular recipes like India Bread Basket & Healthy Fry to name a few.
The entire LG MWO range is spread across convection, solo and grill. In convection there are 17 models starting with the capacity of 21L at a price of Rs.11370/- and goes up to 38L at a price of Rs.44990/-.ln Grill there are 7 models starting with a capacity of 20L at a price of Rs. 7020/- which goes up to 25L at a price of Rs. 10540/-. In solo there are 3 models starting with a capacity of 20L at a price of Rs.5200/- and goes up to 23L a price of Rs.7050/-.
