Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi's Event by FICCI, Hyderabad
FICCI Ladies Organisation (FLO) invited Venerable Tenzin Priyadarshi to speak on Ethics & Transformative Values For Professional Women at Synergy, Taj Deccan, Banjara Hills.
Rekha Reddy Chairperson, FLO, Hyderabad Chapter said that, this session helps our members to grasp the essence of Ethics and Values in Business.
"Ven. Tenzin gave us valuable information on how to make the Business or the Profession we are in, a more enjoyable, long lasting and sustainable one", she added.
In today’s world of instant gratification, fast track material gains and over consumption, Ven. Tenzin said we need to stop in our tracks and check to add positive values to benefit personally, Professionally and in turn be beneficial to the society and country. He said, being women we have a greater responsibility to shape our life and the lives of our future generations as mothers.
Tenzin Priyadarshi is the founder and Director of the Dalai Lama centre for ethics and Transformative Values at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Ven. Tenzin was born into a Hindu Brahmin family in Vaishali, India. He is the founding President of the PRAJNOPAYA INSTITUTE AND FOUNDATION, a World wide Humanitarian organisation which provides care for all regardless of ethnicity, religion or gender by developing innovative health, education and social welfare programs. He lectures internationally on subjects ranging from philosophy, science, ethics, and religion to Socio-political thought.
FLO was established in 1983, as a division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) which is the apex body of industry and commerce in India. Its primary objective was to create a platform that voiced the concerns of women entrepreneurs, businesswomen and professionals and promote entrepreneurship and professional excellence. As an all India organization for women, FLO has chapters in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Guwahati and Coimbatore with its head office in Delhi. The Hyderabad Chapter of FLO was launched in 2001 and today has over 400 members. FLO endeavors to enhance the various skills of women through its educational and vocational training programmes, talks, seminars, panel discussion and workshop on a wide range of subject. It also focuses on women related legal and social issues like uniform civil code, domestic violence, etc. In its own capacity, FLO interfaces with women in business and the government to empower them in their professional and entrepreneurial endeavors.
