HDCF Confluence XII on Sources of Finance for Startups and Fast Growing SMEs

Hyderabad, 23"1 March 2013: Hyderabad Director / CEO Forum (HDCF) has, organised its Confluence XII with a panel discussion on how to raise "Sources of Finance for Start-ups and Fast Growing SMEs" on Sunday,23rd March 2013 at Hotel Square, Hyderabad. I he Panel discussion started with Mr.Rajiv Lulla, Founder of Capricorn Gifting Solutions introducing the theme of the program to the gathering. Money / Funding are in fact very crucial sources to find in any business domain. It was a very cynical man who said, "a banker is one who gives you an umbrella when it is sunny, and take it back when it is raining".

The Panel discussion was moderated by Mr. AshishMaalve who is Founder Director ofAngaros Management Company which is a one-slop investment holding company, based out of Singapore.

The exciting panel discussion included many topics covering the nuances of raising funding / loans / debt and all related issues and bottlenecks. Interactive Panel discussion included many expert panellists.

Mr. Y. SatyaKalyan, a prolific entrepreneur with ventures like SMS Country Networks, 160by2.com, ygoy.com, 360invite.com, ubergard.com, and so on shared various issues involved in ups and downs, short-term and long-term milestones. He also shared his valuable inputs on how to choose VC or angel investor? He touched upon few tips on how and why only few start-ups succeed and the secret sauce. He shared his company business case on how to adopt a strategy when approached by a VC and you also received the term sheet.

Mr. P. Ramakrishna, the General Partner at lItthishta Seed Fund, which is now registered with the SEBI and is focusing on path breaking technological products in web, mobile applications, cloud computing and software. He shared on how to move ahead for the start-ups in the present stage of economy and recession. He advised members on various strategies to be adopted when the world is moving to the digital and virtual world.

Mr. Krishna Meka, Principal with Ventureast, a prominent Venture Capital firm shared his hands-on- experience in what to expect from the entrepreneur when an entrepreneur is pitching for the first: time? He has given many recommendations to be adopted by entrepreneurs to change or move away from the main objective of doing business once they receive the funding. He emphasized on how to have perfect reporting and documentation in place in case of availing funding. He also reminded the members on how Central Finance Minister made angel investments taxable to avoid the money laundering. He also cautioned that how it is leading to genuine start-ups for some losses. He shared some tips for start-ups how to make profits in such environment.

Informative and intriguing discussions made the rounds this Sunday evening with over the 125+ artcnclees getting their various questions answered by these eminent professionals from established investment holding and venture capitalist firms.
