Namo Venkatesa - Familiar, but interesting tunes

After ‘King’, ‘Namo Venkatesa’ is the consecutive film that is coming in the combination of Sreenu Vaitla and Devisri Prasad. Devisri with his rocking music is rocking all over with his latest hits ‘Arya 2’ and now ‘Adhurs’. For the first time he is composing music for Venkatesh’s film. The music was released at Bangkok recently by Aditya Music and I am hoping for yet another musical hit from Devisri Prasad. Here we go...
Tuttadoi Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Tippu, Priya Hemesh
It’s a fun loving track that has a very fast beats and goes the Punjabi style in the middle of the song. It is sung by Tippy and Priya Hemesh and the lyrics are written by Ramajogayya in a funky style. The song kick starts with Devisri’s playful rendition. Overall it is an ok song for me which I felt like a time pass track.
Nee Kallalo Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Sagar, Roshini
This is a romantic number starts off with fast but catchy tune. Devisri’s production is excellent. Sagar and Roshini sang with great feel. Their vocals worked perfectly. The lyrics in this song keep your attention till the end. I loved the opening riff and I enjoyed till the end. This sing-a-long beautiful track is making me go for repeat listens.
Ding Dong Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Shankar Mahadevan, Priya Hemesh
Wow! This song is well written, well composed and well recorded. This hip shaking song with foot-tapping music is very interesting with lively vocals by Shankar Mahadevan and Priya Hemesh. The entire song is fun loving with catchy lyrics. The vocals of Priya Hemesh go softly without the instrumental background in the middle, but the song again lifts up with Shankar’s playful rendition. Guys! ‘Ding Dong Ding Dong Ding Ding Dong …Sing a Song Sing a Song … Sing Sing a Song’ that is something similar to ‘Aahahaa Aaja’ in Nuvvosthanante Nenoddantana’. This song in a Rock N Roll style will also be a colorful treat for the viewers.
Nonstop Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Karthik, Sunitha Sarathy
This romantic soundtrack starts with lovely guitar riffs and flows gently through out. What is surprising me is that Devisri music appears always fresh to ear even though he keeps repeating the same beats again and again. That’s Devi’s magic. Hats off to him! He rocks again.
Namo Venkatesa Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Mano, Megha
‘Namo Venkatesa’ is a rock number in typical Devisri bands. Ironically it is this song that kicks in an old filmy style. Devi also uses the old song beats in between giving a mixed touch of old and new. The song is lively and full of rock attitude. Mano is the apt choice for this style of music. With catchy sounds this album kick starts with an interesting and different song.
Soundarya Music: Devi Sri Prasad Lyrics: Ramjogayya Sastry Singer: Venu
‘Soundarya’ is an excellent song with foot-tapping music and catchy lyrics by Ramjogayya Sastry. What can I say guys? I love this melody and Venu’s vocals are simply great. Lyrics are a mix of Telugu and Hindi words. The notes describe the heroine in the film. With simple and nice harmonies, the song has a catchy groove and flows well.
Overall it’s a good album with some familiar but interesting tunes. Devisri Rocks Again! Cheers!
