Golimaar - Revitalizes you for some entertainment

Puri Jagannath’s latest film ‘Golimaar’ is based on the real life history of Mumbai’s encounter specialist Daya Nayak. While Gopichand is essaying the lead role, Priyamani is playing his lady love. Well! So far the Puri-Chakri combination has been successful through seven films. I would like to mention the list here – ‘Itlu Sravani Subrahmaniam’, ‘Shivamani 9848022330’, ‘Andhrawala’, ‘Idiot’, ‘Amma Nana O Tamil Ammai’, ‘Desamuduru’ and ‘Neninthe’. And ‘Golimaar’ is the eight film in this awesome combination. I’m now more eager than ever to give my opinion on this music album though I’m a busy bee today.
Gundello Music: Chakri Lyrics: Bhaskarabhatla Singer: Chakri, Kausalya
Ah! At the end of the stressful day, ‘Gundello….’ comes as a highly relaxing and carries your spirit away from this troubled world. Lyrics by Bhaskara Bhatla are too good to hum. The track starts with wonderful guitar strings and you can feel the gently flowing music till the end. What a romantic piece! My personal feeling is that such romantic songs should be sung by singers like Karthik and Hema Chandra, Kausalya is the apt choice though. Otherwise, it’s a perfect start, indeed!
Theenmaar Music: Chakri Lyrics: Bhaskarabhatla Singer: Mumaith Khan
After a nice soothing beginning to the album, Chakri comes up with a very different track in mass beat sounds ‘drrrrr’ ‘drrrrr’. We can also call it as a western type folk song. Surprisingly Mumaith Khan lent her voice for this track and she was just right in funky style of singing. This fun filled track will impress not just the so-called front benchers but also people from all walks of life.
Magallu Music: Chakri Lyrics: Bhaskarabhatla Singer: Geetha Madhuri
‘Magallu utti maaya gaale……premante emito theleedhe….natetlo munchesi pothare….eedu kooda in the….Magaalla ollantha thimmiranthe……maalaaga life longu undaranthe…..maagadi buddi kukka thokalaanti danthe…..eedu kooda inthe’. I can’t believe these were written by a man. The universal truth is the lyrics mentioned in this song are those majority of women believe in. It’s because men and women always struggle to find a common bond. This song narrates the woman’s feelings after being betrayed by a man. Geeta Madhuri sang it with full of zeal and presented the song with feel from her heart. Chakri’s strength lies in his wonderful rhythm. I’m pretty sure that men would neither enjoy nor appreciate this song but certainly an exclusive one for most women indeed.
Golimaar Music: Chakri Lyrics: Bhaskarabhatla Singer: Chakri
‘Golimaar’ is a title song sung by Chakri himself. Filled with heavy beats this is not the one to listen and enjoy. It’s a powerful situational background song where the hero is striving hard towards his goal.
Salam Police Music: Chakri Lyrics: Bhaskarabhatla Singer: Simha
‘Salam Police’ is an exclusive song in praise of police. The entire song features a police force and was composed with strong foot tapping mass beats. Simha lent his voice for the lyrics penned by Bhaskara Bhatla. The track no doubt will appeal the cops and also an entertaining one for general listeners too. Composition is too good with catchy beats and lyrics are impressive as well.
Nidharosthale Music: Chakri Lyrics: Bhaskarabhatla Singer: Vasu
This is also a mass song in country style. The song starts off with cool guitar riffs before settling into a nice mid-tempo. While listening to this track your excitement doubles and then you start jumping around. The composition style reminds us of ‘Suraangani….suraangani…..’ song. I love this beautiful acoustic piece due to its foot-tapping beats, clap sounds and the guitar strings in the middle of the song. Lyrics by Bhaskara Bhatla are awesome and hummable. Vasu’s singing style is extremely good and chorus is also good. Chakri ends the album in style with a very lively song.
On the whole Chakri scored a decent commercial album that is a mix of country and western style. This album will surely not disappoint you because it is a kind of album you would enjoy if you want some entertainment.
