Sri Rama Rajyam, the masterpiece from legendary combination of Bapu-Ramana-BalaKrishna-NageswaraRao-Ilayaraja is creating sensation at overseas box office in the 2nd week. Normally, the second week collection of any movie in overseas is not more than 50% of the first week including blockbusters. Probably for the first time in overseas history, this movie is poised to collect around 80% of its first week collections in the second week based on Nov 23rd and 24th collections. Some of the shows were sold out in locations like VA, New Jersey and Bay Area even though we are screening in multiple theaters. The movie had a fantastic second week so far and families with kids are turning up in big numbers to watch this magnum opus.
This movie turned out to be the biggest grosser among Bala Krishna's movies in Overseas. Also, this is the highest grosser in mythological movies. The movie offers something for everyone and hence this movie is being embraced by all sections (Youth, Families, Women and Kids) for its technical brilliance, straight & crisp narration, visual grandeur, strong emotions and show casing our heritage, history and culture in a splendid way.
