Aah!! A long wait to have a glimpse at this lovely pair again on silver screen is finally over. Prabhas- Trisha starring ‘Bujjigadu-Made in Chennai’ directed by the sensational director Puri Jagannadh, is produced by KS Rama Rao under the banner Creative Commercials. The Censor Board has given the green signal to release ‘Bujjigadu’ on 22nd May with ‘A’ certificate after their scissor work on few scenes.
Prabhas, who got a big break through ‘Varsham’ has been lying low for quite sometime due to his repeated failures. Now lady-luck is in his favor in the form of Puri’s blessings.
‘Bujjigadu-Made in Chennai’ is an action packed entertainer where Prabhas is seen with a different body language. Puri, an expert, is known for portraying his heroes in different styles in each of his films, is again trying his hand on Prabhas.
The story of ‘Bujjigadu’ is very simple and common among the general public. Bujjigadu is a boy from Chennai who is a great fan of Rajnikanth. He enacts all that which the craziest fan of a big star does, like, watching his hero’s film on first show of first day, bursting crackers, decorating the cut-outs, not to speak of palabhishekam, distributing pamplets, special archanas in temples, waiting at the gate of his beloved hero for a few moments of darshan etc.
Expression queen Trisha is ready to sizzle with Prabhas for the third consecutive time. This naughty girl who won the hearts of many youngsters with her crazy expressions in films like Varsham, Nuvvasthanante Nenodhantana, Athadu etc., has played the same heavy role in this film too. Since the chemistry of Trisha and Prabhas on silver screen has already succeeded with the block-buster film ‘Varsham’, Puri is now trying to repeat that magic in ‘Bujjigadu’. Along with Trisha, Sanjana (Mogudu Pellam O Boyfriend fame) is sharing the screen besides Prabhas. This is going to be a surprise package to the audience as she is invisible in the promos.
Now, talking about the music, Sandeep Chowta who got introduced to tollywood through the super-duper hit, Nag’s ‘Ninne Pelladata’ about 12 years ago, and gave fantastic numbers for Nag-Puri’s ‘Super’, has given some good tunes in this film too. But this album did not impress the listeners to the extent ‘Super’ did. We have to see the impact of these songs on screen.
Shyam K Naidu’s camera work needs a special mention. The duet songs picturized on Prabhas and Trisha in New Zealand locations were awesome. The high quality pictorial back-ground of songs shows the taste of Shyam.
Dr. Mohan Babu, of late seems to have shifted his gear from the main lead roles to character roles. Still he is very choosy and particular that the role he plays has enough prominence in the film.
Producer KS Rama Rao is brimming with confidence due to Puri’s involvement which also tempted him to free his wallet with a jumbo budget said to be 25 crores. Prabhas also seems to be floating above the ground with an anticipated success due to Puri’s shadow. Trisha who gave two consecutive hits is also waiting with high hopes. Last but not the least let’s not forget Puri’s hattrick, Pokiri! Desamuduru!! Chirutha!!!
