Power Star Pawan Kalyan and dashing director Puri Jagannadh have teamed up to work together again after 12 years.  Puri Jagannadh, who directed his first film ‘Badri’ with Pawan Kalyan, had gone to his house with the script of ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ and asked him if he would do the film.  Pawan’s instant reply was “Obviously”. Initially Puri approached Ravi Teja for this film, but he later moved towards Pawan Kalyan on the suggestion given by Ravi Teja.  That’s how Puri jumped at the chance to work with Pawan Kalyan again.

Well, everyone knows that Puri’s directorial debut film ‘Badri’ with Pawan Kalyan was a blockbuster.  His next super hit film was ‘Itlu Sravani Subrahmaniam’ with Ravi Teja.  Since then Puri has continued to lob films at audiences and grab attention with super hits like ‘Idiot’, ‘Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammayi’, ‘Shivamani’, ‘143’, ‘Pokiri’, ‘Desamuduru’, ‘Chiruta’, ‘Bujjigadu’ and recently, the ‘Businessman’.  Most of these films were actually planned with Pawan Kalyan but they did not materialize due to reasons unknown.  However, Puri formed association with almost all leading stars in Tollywood and that’s proven successful.  On the other hand, the box-office king Pawan Kalyan lately created super sensation with ‘Gabbar Singh’.  In view of the above mentioned reasons, the duo has set its eyes on the openings of CGR, which echoed the sky-rocketing expectations of fans and film lovers.

Now, coming to storyline of ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’, it’s a social drama revolving around the character named Rambabu.  Puri had already revealed the theme as how a journalist Ram Babu solves the state’s problem. The basic plot is that Rambabu (Pawan Kalyan), a journalist, who is annoyed with the reckless political leaders and the social evil activities that happen around him, decides to wipe them out.  Subsequently he secretly captures the anti-social activities in a video cam with the help of a photo journalist (Tamannah).  Through his special role how he attempts to reveal the political corruption and raise awareness among the general public is the film all about.  This story has been developed and crafted into the film ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ by Puri Jagannadh with attention-grabbing screenplay and dialogues.  The major part of CGR was shot in Hyderabad like in Saradhi Studios, Padmalaya Studios, Ramoji Film City and old city of Hyderabad

After ‘Desamuduru’ and Neninthe’, Puri Jagannath and DVV Danayya have joined together to recreate magic once again with ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’.  In this combination, while ‘Desamuduru’ was a big commercial hit, ‘Neninthe’ won critical acclaims and awards.  So let’s wish CGR to be a mix of both.

Highlights: Pawan Kalyan’s powerful performance is the main highlight of CGR.  The first time combination of Pawan Kalyan and milky beauty Tamannaah.  The pair is going to be seen in the roles of Rambabu and Ganga. Inside sources reveal that Tamannah excelled in her performance on par with Pawan Kalyan.  Glamour Queen Gabriela Bertante in thel role of Manga and Scarlett Wilson’s item dance ‘Joramochindhi’ are yet another special attraction in the film.  Prakash Raj as Rana Babu is said to be a gem in his role. Besides, the Climax part shot at Ramoji Film City on Pawan Kalyan along with his fans is expected to make the fans stand and clap. Scenes shot on a media office set in Saradhi Studios might be satirical. Action scenes choreographed by stunt master Vijay are expected to woo the masses.  It’s needless to mention about the soundtrack of this film as everyone is aware of it.  Mani Sharma’s background score, Shyam K Naidu’s cinematography, Puri Jagannadh’s dialogues and screenplay are also to be other highlights of the film. And can we forget the comedy part, which is the main element in Telugu film and without which it’s said to be a incomplete film.  Hence for some relaxation amid the serious film, one can expect a good comedy from Brahmanandam, Aali, M S Narayana and Dharmavarapu Subrahmaniam.

With all the above highlights, it appears like ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ is not limited to Power Star fans alone, since it’s expected to generate a lot of passion among all film lovers.  To describe in other words, ‘Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu’ in the combination of plot narration, screenplay, dialogues, action, suspense, stunts, cinematography, background score, songs and editing, is expected to be a 2 ½ hours of pure action cum thriller film.

The movie cleared its censor formalities and obtained U/A certificate.  It is said that the censor board members were very impressed with the way the film was made and suggested the makers to take U/A certificate without any cuts.  The film is being distributed by several distributors in different countries.  On the other hand, in Andhra Pradesh, Geetha Arts banner is distributing for Nizam area, 14 Reels Entertainment banner for Krishna district and Bunny Vasu for West Godavari district.

CGR is hitting 1600 screens worldwide on October 18th as Dusshera gift to all Pawan fans and film lovers. So watch it and enjoy in cinemas near you.
