Remix of old songs is not new in Indian cinema, especially in Tollywood. But the interesting aspect is when the grandson performs the remix song of the original song of his grandfather. NTR started this trend by doing the remix numbers of his grandfather Sr NTR’s hit songs like ‘O Lammi tikka Regindaa….Ollanta thimmi rekkindaa…’ and ‘Aaku Chaatu pindhe thadise…’. And now, it is being followed by yet another budding star Naga Chaitanya, who is going to perform his grandfather ANR’s all time hit number ‘Nee kallu cheputunnayi nanu preminchaavani….Nee pedavulu cheputunnayi nanu preminchaavani…..’ from ‘Premabhishekam’. Naga Chaitanya alongside Tamannah will dance to this number in the remix form in his ongoing film under the direction of Sukumar. Geeta Arts is producing this youthful romantic film and Devisri Prasad is scoring the music. This is probably Devisri’s first attempt at making a remix of an old song. The movie is set for Sankranthi 2011 release.
