Every hero and heroine dreams of working with directors like Shankar and Maniratnam. However, one should really dedicate major part of their time to work in films of these directors as they take their own time to start and complete their films not for any other reason but for perfection. In this line, Samantha who was chosen for Shankar’s forthcoming film ‘I’ opposite Vikram, had opted out of the film even before the film went on to the sets. The reason, very simple, she had signed a Bollywood film which is to be directed by Prabhu Deva and that she could not adjust the dates for Shankar’s film. Now Shankar has no other choice except to look out for another heroine who will be able to 100% commit to his film. Samantha also walked out of Maniratnam’s ongoing romantic film (featuring opposite actor Karthik’s son Gautham) for the same reason some time ago after shooting some part of her role in the film.
