Mehrene reveals the facts about USA officials’ interrogation
Recently a lot of reports and rumors about actress Mehreen Kaur Pirzada have been making rounds on social media regarding the USA officials questioning Mehreen Kaur regarding the prostitution racket. Though the actress has confirmed the same and told that she was stopped by immigration officials and was asked a lot of questions about the prostitution racket, some media outlets have come up with their own stories.
Mehrene Kaur Pirzada took to Twitter today to clear the air about rumours circulating on her on social media. In her statement she posted on Twitter, Mehrene said, “I have not given any such interview. In fact I missed the last promotional event of ‘Pantham’ as I was down with viral fever in Mumbai.”
The actress stated she was travelling with her family from Vancouver to las Vegas for a weekend holiday. In the statement she made it clear that she has nothing to do with this whole episode. “When I was going through immigration, on finding out that I am an actress in the Telugu film industry, i was questioned by the US border officials as to the reason why I was travelling in the United States. The officials then told me about the scandal which was the first that I heard about it. On finding out that I have nothing to do with the said issue, the officials apologized to me and let me travel without any further problems,” she said.
She said that she came out publicly regarding the incident for the sake of propriety as she felt it’s best that she makes a statement before anyone else assumes otherwise. “The fact that I was embarrassed by the situation and very shaken up is a personal thing,” she added.
“It pains me that the actions of a few bad people has tarnished the image of a vibrant and thriving industry. I hope the perpetrators of this scandal are punished as they deserve to be,” she said in another statement.
The actress requested the media to not to publish their own stories quoting her without actually speaking with her.
Meherene Kaur is now awaiting the release of ‘Pantham’ with hero Gopichand. She plays heroine in Vijay Deverakonda’s bilingual film ‘NOTA’ and Venkatesh-Varun Tej’s multi-starrer film ‘F2’.
