Toofan in post-productions, scheduled for Sept 6th release

Ram Charan’s Bollywood maiden movie ‘Zanjeer’, which is ‘Thoofan’ in Telugu, is planned for September 6th release. The latest we hear is that the makers are making efforts to release the movie in highest number of theaters. It’s well known that ‘Zanjeer’ was a landmark film in Amitabh Bachchan’s career which also earned an angry young man image. Now, the remake version ‘Thoofan’ is also set for creating records in Tollywood. Recently, Amitabh Bachchan showered praises on Ram Charan saying, “Ram Charan is a wonderful actor. I’m sure he would have done complete justice to his character in this film.”

According to producers, Ram Charan played a powerful police officer character in this film that would fight against the oil mafia in Mumbai. They also claim that ‘Thoofan’ would take Ram Charan to the next level. Priyanka Chopra’s glamour is an added attraction. They added, “Director Apoorva Lakhia has carved the film by keeping the Bollywood as well as the Tollywood audience in mind. Scenes involving Ram Charan and Srihari would thrill the audience. Similarly Tanikella Bharani will be seen in a key role. The original film ‘Zanjeer’ has successfully completed 40 years in 2013. On this occasion, we are happy to release Ram Charan’z ‘Zanjeer’ and ‘Thoofan’ in Telugu. The trailer and promotional song have already generated good craze. Right now the post production work is going on at a fast pace. We are planning to complete all formalities and release the film in both languages on September 6th.”

‘Zanjeer’ is being made by Reliance Entertainments, Adai Mehra Productions and Flying Turtle Films banner are jointly producing this giant budget movie under Apoorva Lakhia’s direction. Prakash Raj’s role is the highlight of the movie. Sanjay Dutt played the role of Sher Khan in Hindi and the same done by Sri Hari in Telugu.
