Single is Sree Vishnu's upcoming movie. In its trailer, there is a supposedly mocking reference to Manchu Vishnu's 'Shivayyaaaa...' from Kannappa. The 'Shivayyaaa...' call by Vishnu in the Kannappa trailer was trolled by Netizens. Since Single makes a not-so-flattering reference to it, Manchu Vishnu allegedly got offended.
On Wednesday, Sree Vishnu issued an apology to Team Kannappa, saying that the portion has been withdrawn both from the trailer and the film. "We came to know that Team Kannappa is hurt by our trailer. We have decided to remove the particular portion from our film. We in the film industry are like a large family," the Samajavaragamana actor said.
Sree Vishnu added that Single has a lot of pop culture references, including to Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. Even the film's presenter, Allu Aravind, finds a reference in the movie.
Single, co-starring Ketika Sharma and Ivana, will head to theatres on May 9th. It is directed by Caarthik Raju.
