'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning', the American spy film, will head to theatres on May 23. Early reviews have arrived on social media from those who have watched its pre-released premieres.
Positive reviews:
"It might be the greatest film ever made! Emotional and gritty with mind-blowing stunts and a career best performance from Tom Cruise. An apocalyptic all or nothing finale brilliantly directed by Christopher McQuarrie," wrote Isaac Joel.
"Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning feels like a straight shot of adrenaline from start to finish. The pacing is cut-throat and it feels like you are running alongside Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise's character) the entire time. The score keeps you on the edge of your seat and the visuals are astonishing as always," wrote Lupe.
Mixed reviews:
"The film has some of the same biggest sins that modern blockbusters can have. Its action is very good but good lord I can’t justify any of the other creative choices in it. It barely feels like a direct sequel to DEAD RECKONING at times. This feels like it was reworked so much in post-production that it lost its identity," opined Reyna Cervantes.
"When it's not overloading you with nostalgia-bait archival montages and baffling editing choices, #MissionImpossible proves to be a fun, albeit underwhelming conclusion to the saga. Tramell Tillman (as Captain Bledsoe) is a certified scene stealer," wrote Adam Patla.
"This is bigger, brasher, and sillier than ever operating like a lightswitch flickering between outlandishly cartoonized plot mechanics and prolific spectacle of action achievement. Spoonfeeds its franchise legacy, but also serves a multicourse meal of entertainment," wrote Danny Jarabek.
