Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's latest X post has, overnight, garnered more than 3 million views. The sensational post by the Arjun Reddy director takes an indirect dig at Deepika Padukone's alleged "dirty PR games".
"When I narrate a story to an actor, I place 100% faith. There is an unsaid NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) between us. But by doing this (referring to a media report on Prabhas' Spirit featuring A-rated content), you have disclosed the person that you are," Vanga wrote. He accused Deepika of outing his movie's story. "Is this what your feminism stands for? As a filmmaker, I put years of hard work behind my craft and for me, filmmaking is everything. You didn't get it. You won't get it. You will never get it," Vanga added.
The other day, Tripti Dimri of Animal fame replaced Deepika in Prabhas' Spirit. Vanga's allegation is that Deepika leaked a juicy bit of info about Spirit to the media through her publicist team after she was removed from the prestigious project. Vanga is disappointed that many now know that Spirit will feature "some bold sequences".
Vanga has indirectly validated Monday's news reports on Spirit's adult-rated content. Spirit is yet to commence its shoot. Its theatrical release is at least two years away. "The director might have felt that many more pieces of info about the movie might be outed by Deepika Padukone's team by the time the film releases. That's why he has tried to put a full-stop to the charade by putting out a strong social media post against the actress," a Facebook user speculated.
