Khalid Rahman’s Alappuzha Gymkhana, one of the most critically acclaimed Mollywood movies in recent times, is all set to stream on SonyLIV.
The film will start streaming on the OTT platform starting June 13. It will be available in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Tamil, besides in the Malayalam original.
Naslen, Lukman Avaran, Ganapathi S. Poduval, Sandeep Pradeep, Anagha Ravi, Franco Francis, Baby Jean, and Shiva Hariharan feature in different roles. "It has a relatable tale that spares a thought for those who are not cut out to win," a review by The Hindu said about the movie. Vishnu Vijay is the music director.
Hero Naslen stated that doing the film was an "exhilarating experience", which allowed him to "tap into my vulnerabilities and strengths to bring this character to life".
The film is a "laid-back coming-of-age sports drama with heart and humour". As TNIE said in its review, "Khalid Rahman's film shines in spirit, even if the writing plays it too safe".
Alappuzha Gymkhana streams on SonyLIV from June 13.
