Uday Kiran's battle against final difficult days

When the final curtain came down for lover boy Uday Kiran on Sunday midnight at 12.15 PM, in a house he no longer wanted to live and eventually put an end to his life, many felt that he should not have taken such a drastic decision. However, no one is aware of the pain he was undergoing although he appeared cool with a sweet smile on his face. That’s the reason why people were not able to digest the way he bid good-bye to life.

The real cause for his sudden demise is not about the downfall of his career alone as he knew he would bounce back if he is offered anything where he can really show what he can do. So all these years he struggled to keep going and keep working.

With showbiz been his dream ever since he was a kid pointing Chiranjeevi as his role model and telling he wanted to be on the silver screen some day, he stepped into the film industry as a self-made man. Everyone is aware of how his career began in style with three consecutive hits – ‘Chitram’, ‘Nuvvu Nenu’ and ‘Manasantha Nuvve’ and how things weren’t going well with his once-promising career after his engagement with Chiranjeevi’s elder daughter Sushmita broke. The offers which flooded before the engagement, dropped at the same speed post break-up.

Uday would be alive today if he was a successful person mainly in his personal life. The actor had to see the horrific life at a very young age. Firstly it was his brother’s suicidal death, then a love failure after he became a hero, followed by the engagement break-up with Chiranjeevi’s elder daughter Sushmita and subsequently loosing all offers, after that it was his mother’s death with whom he had a close relationship and next his father’s remarriage. Besides all the above mentioned back-to-back incidents in his life, the downfall of his career and the financial pressures to run his family lead the actor to take such a dire decision.

Uday and his wife Vishitha appeared bright and bubbly in all functions they attended and were adorable together. Uday was doing atleast a film a year and that his wife too was earning well. So going by their life-style, people thought that they were financially sound. It was only after the actor’s death, the true has come out.

Uday’s financial status came to almost bankruptcy few months ago. He couldn’t maintain the same standard of living anymore and even had to depend on his wife’s salary. One Tamil offer that he thought he would get was also dropped out. In the end there came a situation when he had to sack his car driver, cook, servant and even the milk-man. And finally his position has come down to a stage when he could not pay the monthly rent of Rs 30,000/- for the flat he was living. So during all these final difficult days, Uday kept himself away from his friends for quite some time. At this juncture, petty fights began between him and his wife. So the self-image issues have caused him further depression.

No counseling could save his life as he felt that he can’t be damaged any more than he had been. Uday Kiran was a handsome man, talented actor and a very sad loss. He did deserve better than what he had on his last days of life. This beautiful human-being, who grew up to be a beloved movie star with a big smile on his face will be greatly missed. Till yesterday, he had been an example to several new talents coming out in Tollywood. However this tragic end is a lesson to the next generation that one should always have a back-up in life and learn not to give up battle to the circumstances of life.
