In the police verification, woman financier Sangeeta clarified that she did not lend any money to Uday Kiran. It was his former manager Munna to whom she loaned Rs 17 lakhs for Uday’s film and in return Munna, who was producing the film promised her to cast her son in the film. But later when Munna absconded, the financiar went to Uday Kiran’s flat at Srinagar Colony twice only to inquire about the film’s progress as the interest rate was going up. She said that she was shocked to learn about Uday's death on January 6th morning. When interrogated Munna, he said that he borrowed Rs 17 lakhs from his hometown for interest @ Rs 3/- to produce the film ‘Damit Katha Addam Tirigindi' with Uday Kiran as hero and that Uday is no way responsible for his loan. The Jubilee Hills police are investigating the case from all angles as the real cause for the actor committing suicide is unknown. They are reportedly making sincere efforts to gather other evidences through his cell phone and laptop.

The investigation reports also revealed that Uday’s last call was with Visheeta’s classmate Sharat, who resides in Neredmet. Sharat said Uday gave a ring to him at around 7 PM and had a casual conversation for about one and half minute. According to him Uday sounded dull over phone on that night.
