Recently a petition was made by a Hindu organization to the High Court of Madras stating that Dasavatharam is a device to condemn Hinduism. So it prompted the Censor Board to remove the offensive scenes from the film.

But the Censor Board had declared in the High Court saying that it had already given the clean ‘U’ certificate to the film, for which there are no such offensive scenes that would hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus.
