It is known to all about Maniratnam’s project ‘Raavan’ being simultaneously made in Hindi and Tamil. The Tamil version would be dubbed in Telugu as usual, with Vikram and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing lead roles and Prithvi Raj in negative role. In Hindi, it is Abhishek and Aishwarya as lead pair, Vikram plays the negative role.
Sometime back there was also news that Maniratnam decided not to go with this project in Tamil and Telugu, instead concentrate only in Hindi as most the story was leaked in the websites.
Now, the buzz is that Mani has handed over the responsibility of penning the dialogues for the Tamil version of the film to his wife Suhasini, since she was an assistant dialogue writer for his previous films like ‘Iruvan’ (Idharu in Telugu) and ‘Thiruda Thiruda’ (Donga Donga in Telugu). This apart, she also worked as a co-script writer, for Abhishek – Aishwarya starrer ‘Guru’.
“I’m feeling good to pen the dialogues for the Tamil version of ‘Raavan’. The dialogues for the Hindi version were written by Victor. As the film is made with village backdrop and I too hail from a village, I was able to write the dialogues in a typical village accent”, said Suhasini who also denied the rumours that she is acting the film.
