Highlights of Naa Ishtam are Rana's dances and Genelia's beauty - Parachuri Kireeti
Added on March 20, 2012
Producer Parachuri Kireeti who enjoyed the success of ‘Simha’ a couple of years ago, is now coming up with a romantic entertainer ‘Naa Ishtam’ starring Rana Daggubati and Genelia. Prakash Tholeti directed this film on Parachuri Kireeti’s United Movies banner with story written by Kona Venkat, music composed by Chakri and cinematography by Venkat Prasad. ‘Naa Ishtam’ is all set to hit theaters worldwide on March 23rd. ‘Naa Ishtam’ also got the accolades from the censor board members. So producer Parachuri Kireeti organised a press meet and spoke to the media quite excitedly. Here are few excerpts:

Parachuri Kireeti started off the chit chat saying, “I was introduced to Prakash Tholeti by art director Prakash exactly during the time I was vexed by listening to more than 80 stories. However, Prakash Tholeti relieved my stress by narrating a fantastic story. I was so much impressed with his narration style that I told him to direct the film exactly the way he narrated. After approaching two young heroes who claimed to be busy, we later met Rana and came to know that he had already listened to this story before. We wanted small changes in the script, so Kona Venkat did the changes and brought it to a different shape.

About the lead pair he said: “As title ‘Naa Ishtam’ indicates, Rana played the role of a selfish guy. His performance is simply wonderful. He took special care regarding the dances. Genelia appears very beautiful in the film as her wedding took place during the making of this only.”

When asked why it took so long to complete the film, the producer replied: “It took almost 8 months to select the heroine which is the main reason for the delay in shooting. Added to that, the director is also new to the industry. Hence I gave him ample time and freedom so that he will come out with the good product. Another reason for the delay was due to the songs shoot in Malaysia. Chakri composed wonderful songs for this film also just the way he did it for ‘Simha’. This is the perfect commercial film among all Rana’s films.”

Regarding Budget:“As said before the story is extraordinary. So I never planned any budget for this film since I wanted quality. This apart, we are also making ‘Shadow’ with Venkatesh on our banner. We haven’t planned any budget for that film also.”

He concluded saying, “The highlights of ‘Naa Ishtam’ are Rana’s dances, Genelia’s beauty, cinematography and last but not the least the story that will keep the audience glued to their seats for solid 2 hours. Director Prakash Tholeti crafted the film in an outstanding manner that the film would grab the attention of all film lovers. The censor board members saw the film and certified it with U/A certificate due to one item song. However all the board members were impressed with the film. ‘Naa Ishtam’ is ready for release on 23rd March. We are planning to release the film in 450 theaters worldwide.”
