The legendary filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao, whose last year's presentation 'Pelli SandaD' became a sleeper hit, turns 80 today. The news is that he has launched his heart-felt autobiography titled 'Nenu Cinemaki Rasukunna Prema Lekha' chronicling his decades of journey in the film industry.

Serial philanthropist Sudha Murthy and many others were present at the launch event.

Raghavendra Rao, who is known for classics such as 'Annamayya', recalled that he started out as an assistant director to filmmaker Kamalakara Kameswara Rao back in 1963 with the film 'Pandava Vanavasam'. Incidentally, the first clap he gave as an AD was on a scene featuring the legendary NT Rama Rao.

KRR was an AD for a decade before he turned into a producer with the film 'Babu', produced by his father in the year 1975.

Going by his words, KRR has tried to give an honest account of his career and memories without resorting to embellishments and sensationalism.
