India's premier Interventional Cardiology Conference, 'TCT India South Asia 2021'

Hyderabad, 28th July 2021: The three day 'TCT India South Asia 2021' - India's premier Interventional Cardiology Conference - organized by FACTS Foundation - a non-profit organisation of Cardiologists and Cardiac Surgeons, committed to newer research, innovation, education and training; in association with Apollo Hospitals and Cardiovascular Research Foundation, will be hosted virtually from July 29th, 2021. Mr Y Subramanyam, Regional CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad; Dr A. Sreenivas Kumar, Founder Director, FACTS Foundation; & Sr. Consultant Cardiologist & Director Cardiology and Clinical Research, Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad; Dr Ravindra Babu, Asst. Director of Medical Sciences, Apollo Hospitals and Dr Rama Krishna, Cardiologist, Apollo Hospitals; announced the details of the Virtual conference at a press conference, today at Apollo Hospitals. This event is being successfully conducted for the 12th year now in 2021, the maiden Conference was held in 2010.

Dr A. Sreenivas Kumar speaking on the occasion said, this is now the largest Conference of Interventional Cardiologists, with delegates from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Mauritius, Sri Lanka and more countries are attending it. Several special techniques to deal with cardiac problems which hitherto needed cardiac surgery can be done today by interventional cardiology, through minor aperture, saving the patient from trauma, morbidity, and mortality. In the past when arteries were totally blocked, surgery was mandatory, now there are special techniques to clear the blocked arteries, several such new techniques will be demonstrated and deliberated in this conference. It’s difficult to get so much knowledge from the most eminent specialists, this platform brings all of them together and makes the knowledge available in a nutshell to the delegates. The live streaming of the Conference is happening at all the PVR cinemas across the country, the big screens help delegates to get a clear picture of the procedures and techniques and enables better understanding of what is being demonstrated. This conference has special sessions devoted to Covid Cardiology addressed by eminent specialists from across the world, who extensively dealt with Covid related cardiology problems. The conference overall will address and educate the delegates on the latest techniques beneficial to the patients in terms of speedy recovery and being inexpensive to the possible extent.

The Conference will have 24 Live cases to be streamed live to 4K projections across 9 Hubs, a first of its kind initiative in India, thereby multiplying the reach of the knowledge being imparted.
