Vishnu Vinyasam, starring Sree Vishnu in the lead, features Nayana Sarika as the heroine. Set to hit the cinemas on February 27, the comedy entertainer co-stars Satya, Murali Sharma, Brahmaji, Praveen, Satyam Rajesh, Srikanth Iyyengar, and others. Directed by Yadunaath Maruthi Rao, the film is produced by Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas.
In this interview, Nayan Sarika talks about her character in this week's major release.
Growing up in Maharashtra, I originally set my sights on a career in law. However, my lifelong passion for cinema eventually pulled me in a different direction. Today, I have traded the courtroom for the camera, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to pursue acting professionally. I did my first film in Telugu. In the future too, Telugu films will be my first priority. Getting consecutive successes like Gam Gam Ganesa, AAY, and KA has given me a lot of happiness. I feel lucky to be playing roles in a diverse set of genres.
My character comes with multiple shades. She is a dominant personality. In the first half, she might irritate the male audience with her sadism a little. But once the reason behind her behavior is revealed in the second half, everyone will empathize with her. Once the director told me the nature of the character, I was sold! Some of the scenes shown in the teaser are integral to the story. Manisha, my name in the film, is someone who has faced many hardships in life. At one point, she decides she wants to live on her own terms. I appear as a college faculty member.
This is a love story that unfolds between two lecturers. Students and youth will connect with it very well. I believe Vishnu Vinyasam will also bring me an even better name. I am very grateful for the support the Telugu audience has been giving me. I am trying to choose films that have strong stories and strong characters.
Before my character was explained, the director explained Sree Vishnu's character. I could relate to the fact that his lucky number is the same as mine - 5.
Collaborating with Sree Vishnu was a truly rewarding experience. His jovial nature creates a positive atmosphere, and his ability to communicate with both wit and wisdom makes his insights incredibly memorable. He is a pleasure to work with and leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets. Comedy is among the most difficult genres. Sree Vishnu's comedy timing is natural. The way he improvises on the spot is very impressive. Since he is a natural performer, our performances also became better.
The producers made this film with great passion. They supported us in every aspect. Sumanth provided everything required for the film. Composer Radhan has given wonderful songs. The background score is also very good. I really like the breakup song. Also, the song Modhale Modhale is my favorite.
Since childhood, I grew up watching the Filmfare Awards on TV. Receiving a Filmfare award on that very stage gave me immense happiness. It was a dream-come-true moment. (She received the Filmfare Award for Best Debut Female - Telugu for Gam Gam Ganesha at the 70th Filmfare Awards South)
Currently, I am working on a film called Raakaasaa, which is a fantasy comedy starring Sangeeth Shoban. I am also doing a Kannada film with Golden Star Ganesh.
