A new film titled ‘Gilli Danda’ has been formally launched on Saturaday i.e. on July 29 at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad in the presence of eminent personalities in the film industry. Nataraj and Ronika Singh as the lead pair, J Veeresh is producing the film under Rashmi Cine Productions banner. Arundhati Srinu is the director. The film was launched with formal Pooja on the hands of famous director and producer YVS Chowdary. Nandamuri Harikrishna handed over the script to director Arundhati Srinu. Telangana Film Chamber Chairman Pratani Ramakrishna Goud sounded the clap board, while Dharanidhar Reddy switched on the camera for the muhurat shot. Actor Ali has directed the first shot.
Speaking on the occasion, director Arundhati Srinu said, “Big thanks to all the dignitaries who blessed us on this occasion. Coming to the story- It’s a commercial entertainment film set in the village backdrop with Gilli Danda game as theme. The film is being made with a heart touching love story. Producer J Veeresh garu was very much impressed by the script narrated by me and given his nod to make this film. His support is unforgettable. Raghu Kunche garu’s musical scores and GJ Krishna garu’s cinematography will stand out as special attractions to the film. ‘Gilli Danda’ will impress everyone for sure.”
On this occasion, producer J Veeresh said, “Thanks to all the eminent people for the gracious presence and for their blessings. I was very much impressed by the script narrated by the director Arundhati Srinu and also his narration. It’s a good family entertainer. The shooting of ‘Gilli Danda’ will take place at Raghavendra Swamy Temple in Mantralayam, Anantapuram, Gutti, Bangalore and Hyderabad. I wish and hope audience wil encourage the film and ‘Gilli Danda’ will become big success and earn good name to our banner.”
Hero Nataraj said, “This is my first film in Telugu. Earlier I have worked for ‘Sairat’ Kannada remake. I am very happy that I have been introduced to Tollywood through ‘Gilli Danda’ which has an amazing story. I am thankful to the director and producers for giving me this wonderful opportunity.”
Thanking the director and producer for giving her the opportunity, heroine Ronica Singh said, “My role in the film has ample scope to perform. I wish and hope ‘Gilli Danda’ will become big hit.”
