Ram Charan and Samantha starrer ‘Rangasthalam’ directed by Sukumar and produced by Yerneni Y Ravishankar and Mohan (CVM) on Mythri Movie Makers, was released on March 30 and it is running successfully. On this occasion, the film unit has arranged thanks meet on April 2 in Hyderabad.
Speaking at the press meet, Ram Charan said, “I would like to thank Sukumar on this occasion. He trusted us and kept a crazy mission on our shoulders. Thanks to audience for making this crazy project a big success. Generally, people keep asking me that will I sign films by keeping fans in mind. But I never think about it. I feel that, first I have to listen to the script narrated by Sukumar garu and it should impress me first. When I genuinely feel that it is a good script I go ahead with the film and fans always feel proud of my choice. I am thankful to each and every one who are part of the success of the film. Our Telugu film industry needed this kind of successes at this time. I wish the two films which are coming for this summer too will become big success. I am very happy that the exhibitors and distributers got satisfied. I am thankful to everyone who supported me.”
Jagapathi Babu said, “When I was doing dubbing worked, I loved Chitti Babu’s character. I my second innings, ‘Legend’ is one leap, whereas ‘Rangasthalam’ has brought another leap for me. Sukumar has given new life to me. No one observed oora mass look in me. Only Sukku extracted that and audience too received well.”
On this occasion, Dil Raju said, “The film has earned the same collections on the fourth day i.e. on Monday even like the first three days. It is the best proof to say that the film is a blockbuster. After ‘Arya’, this is the film I loved among Sukku’s films. ‘Rangasthalam’ stood as one of the best films in Sukumar’s career. Star hero has tried a new look. The film is receiving not only appreciations but also good collections. Producers hit a hat-trick through this film. Sukumar’s one year hard work has brought fruitful result. The film is crossing ‘Magadheera’ records as well. Congrats to the entire team of ‘Rangasthalam’.”
Producer Naveen Yerneni said, “Thanks to Ram Charan for having given me the opportunity to produce a wonderful film like ‘Rangasthalam’. Charan’s performance is superb. Thanks to Sukumar garu for giving us all time hit film. Our journey with Sukumar garu was very comfortable. Ratnavel garu has done a great job. Art director Ramakrishna, Monika garu, lyricist Chandra Bose garu and music director Devi Sri Prasad garu stood as big assets for the film. Jagapathi Babu garu has given his career’s best performance. Anasuya, Aadi Pinisetty and Prakash Raj and everyone have given wonderful performance. The three days after the release of the film are the happiest days in my life. After Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2, this film will stand out as top grocer. I am thankful to Charan and Sukumar for giving a biggest hit.”
Director Sukumar said, “Ranga is the common friend for Chana and me and that is the reason for choosing the title ‘Rangasthalam’. Jagapathi Babu looks handsome in any role. Chandra Bose’s lyrics ‘Entha Sakkagunnave…’ has received lot of appreciations. Anything I say about Ramakrishna’s art direction would become understatement. Naveen Nooli’s editing is excellent. He will remain as good editor here until the film industry exists. He has knowledge on every department. Ratnavel’s cinematography is beautiful. He perfectly designs every character. He is India’s one of the best cinematographer. Devi is whole and soul for me. Rangammatta impressed audience with her performance. Anasuya has given perfect justice to her role. People tend to think that married heroines lack desirability and won’t draw in audience. But ‘Rangasthalam’ broke the rules. Aadi Pinisetty is an amazing artist. He has given wonderful performance as Kumar Babu. I loved Kumar Babu’s character than Chitti Babu. Producers are like Bhola Shankars. They are good humans. They have great passion for film. I can’t imagine another hero playing Chitti Babu’s role. Accepting such a character is a great thing. The credit of the film’s success goes to Ram Chanran.”
