MM Keeravani was felicitated in the function on his completion of 200 films in music composition.
Later while speaking Keeravani said, “I am happy to see my co-music directors in this function. I thank all of them for attending this function. Dasari garu gave me the first opportunity to become a music director. But unfortunately that film did not materialize at that time.”
Mrs Geeta Reddy said, “I am friends with Dasari’s family for the past 25 years. I hope there will be a good message to the youth through this film beautifully titled as ‘Young India’. The combination of two legends Dasari-Keeravani will surely make the film a grand success. Congress government had helped the Telugu film industry a lot. Our government will certainly solve any problems in the near future too.”
Addressing the gathering Dasari Narayana Rao said, “We are releasing 2 lakh audio cassettes in the market selling it for only for Rs 5/-. But our target is to sell 5 lakh cassettes. I always used to think that if I direct a film I should either direct ‘Bobbili Puli’ or ‘Swargam Narakam’. At one point of time our artists and technicians used to go to Bollywood, whereas the situation has changed now. We are importing not only the heroines but also other artists and technicians from other states. People must be wondering if I could take a film that suits the generation today, but going a stop ahead I’ve the capacity to take the film that suit the next generation too. We have selected 81 new artists and trained them in acting. I’ve realized that Mahanati Savitri’s grandson is one among the 81 artists only after her daughter called and thanked me over phone.”
Speaking further he added, “We decided not to reveal the artists now since we wanted to introduce them to the media at Tirupati. I never worked so hard even for my debut film since there was no expectations, whereas the expectations for this film is too high. So the responsibility and pressure is so high that I took the film accordingly. After watching ‘Young India’ the viewer will remember the slogan ‘Live as an Indian and Die as an Indian’. All the artists and technicians have really worked very hard for this film.” ‘Varudu’ heroine Banusri Mehra was introduced to the media on Saturday, 10th of April, i.e., after 10 days of the film’s release. The introduction programme was held at Universal Media production office for which Allu Arjun, Gunasekhar and the heroine Banusri Mehra participated.
Dr Mohan Babu’s message was read by the journalist Prabhu in the dais.
