Merupu Muhurat

Ram Charan Teja’s new film titled ‘Merupu’ has been launched today (April 30th) morning at Ramanaidu studios in Hyderabad. The film is going to be directed by Dharani (director of Pawan Kalyan’s Bangaram) and jointly produced by NV Prasad and Paras Jain under Mega Super Good Films banner. R B Chowdary is going to present the film. After the successful chemistry with Kajal Agarwal in ‘Magadheera’, Ram Charan is once again pairing with her.

For the muhurat shot, Chiranjeevi tapped the clap board, while Dr D Ramanaidu switched on the camera. Other prominent guests include Allu Aravind, Naga Babu, C Kalyan, Aswini Dutt, Rana, Shyam Prasad Reddy, Sreenu Vaitla, D Suresh Babu, Dil Raju, M L Kumar Chowdary, etc.

Director Dharani while speaking, “Merupu means ‘lightening strike’. It’s a kind of story like ‘Merupu’ can touch anyone but no one can touch ‘Merupu’. The story revolves around a young man who has a goal and how he reaches it. This film will be made as a high voltage action flick with all required commercial elements. Since Ram Charan’s ‘Magadheera’ has created history, expectations from fans as well as the industry is very high. Therefore we have prepared this script accordingly and am sure that we would succeed in reaching their expectations.”

Devisri Prasad said, “The title as well as the story is very good. I liked the sequences for songs. There are altogether 6 songs. As Ram Charan is a very good dancer I’m composing the beats in such a manner so as to match his dancing skills. This is my first film with Dharani. It’s going to be a wonderful experience working for a film that has PC Sreeram’s cinematography.”

“Merupu reminds me of my dad’s ‘Vijetha’. The script is quite interesting and I felt that this is the right subject that suits the tastes of viewers from all segments. The script has lots of commercial elements and I’m playing a very different role which every youth will identify himself with it. The story is about how a young man reaches his goal. I’m very happy to work with cinematographer PC Sreeram, producer NV Prasad, whom I know since I was a child and of course my childhood friend Devisri Prasad. Devi is an excellent musician and he gave wonderful tunes for this film too. I listened to them and they are pretty impressive. I’m also happy to work with Kajal again after Magadheera”, says Ram Charan Teja.

“This is my 2nd film with Ram Charan. The story will inspire everyone. I’m going to appear in a self-made woman character”, said Kajal.

Producers informed, “We are happy to produce Ram Charan’s 4th film. Working with good technicians and talented artists is a good sign for the film to be successful. ‘Merupu’ is going to be one of the best films in the industry.”

Musical scores will be rendered by rocking music director Devisri Prasad, Dialogues are being penned by Parachuri Brothers, art director Thota Tharani is going to design the sets, cinematography by PC Sreeram and editing work will be done by VT Vijayan.
