Paruchuri Raghubabu Natakotsavalu Pressmeet

Parachuri Raghu Babu’s 21st Akilabharata Natakotsavalu 2011, will be held at Raghu Babu Kala Mandapam in Pallekosa village, Guntur district. A press meet was organised to brief the details of this event. Venkatesh, Parachuri Gopala Krishna, Parachuri Venkateswara Rao, Raghava Pratap and Bharathi Cements Chandrasekhar Reddy participated.

Venkatesh said, “These stage drama contests are taking place for the past few years. A theater was also built in Pallekosa. Parachuri Brothers are like my family members. They encourage the theater artists. I wish a grand success for this year’s Natakotsavalu.”

Parachuri Venkateswara Rao said, “The name “Raghu Babu Kalamandapam” in Pallekosa has been changed as Raghu Babu TSR Kalamandapam. Ramanaidu garu was the trustee for our trust and also lent his helping hand. We are planning to invite many artists for the launching ceremony Kalamandapam this year. No Nataka Parishat in India owns a theater. We have so far spent Rs 25 lakhs and are willing to spend more. Many stage artists have entered the film industry through our Nataka Parishat. I thank Dr D Ramanaidu garu and Dr T Subba Ramireddy garu for helping our Kalamandapam.”

Parachuri Gopala Krishna said, “Bharati Cements is sponsoring this year’s Natakotsavalu which will be held from April 27th to May 1st. The programme will begin at 7PM with ‘Dharitri Rakshiti Rakshita’ play by Gurumitra Kala Samithi Repalli. Everyday three plays would be staged. The best play (3 Hrs play) will get a cash prize of Rs 20,000, the best play (1 Hr play) will get prize money of Rs 15,000. For the best performance, the prize money is Rs 10,000, for the best script, it is Rs 5,000 and for the best direction it is Rs 3,000. This apart, 8 will be felicitated with Saaswita Rajitha mementoes. The plays that were selected in the final round will be presented with Rs 15,000 cash. The winners of this Natakotsavalu will stage their plays once again on September 6th at Ravindra Bharati in Hyderabad.”
