Dhookudu Success Meet

The success meet of Mahesh Babu-Sreenu Vaitla’s ‘Dookudu’ was held at Film Nagar Cultural Centre, Hyderabad. The film which was made under 14 Reels Entertainments banner was released on September 23rd. The success meet was attended by Sreenu Vaitla and producers Gopichand Achanta, Ram Achanta and Anil Sunkara.

Sreenu Vaitla said, “I thank the Telugu audience across the world for making ‘Dookudu’ a grand success. The film broke all time records for three consecutive days. I consider it as my birthday gift from audience since it was released on my birthday. The credit for the success of the film goes to Mahesh Babu. Another reason being the script. We crafted the film as per his fans expectations. The success of this film also lies in all characters being unique on its own. I’ve initially informed Thaman that it’s a prestigious film, hence he worked for one year for this film. K V Guhan also provided excellent cinematography which was on par with international standards. Dinesh choreographed three songs as per Mahesh Babu’s body language. Gopi Mohan and Kona Venkat have put in their efforts along with me. So I take this opportunity to thank them all.”

Gopichand Achanta said, “We are happy to produce this film. We thank the audience for encouraging us by making it a big hit. We would appreciate if the people will not encourage piracy. We have allotted number for every print. Hence we request you all to cooperate with us.”

Ram Achanta said, “We thank the fans for making the film a grand success. It’s a huge success not only in this state but also in USA. The results at USA are something like miracle magic. The box office collections crossed over $ Million in just 2 days in America. It was $ 1.4 Million on Sunday. On other hand, ‘Dhookudu’ collections stood on top in India. We can’t predict now how big hit the movie is going to be. We released the movie in 65 theaters in Krishna district alone and all theaters are said to be running with houseful collections. We are expecting a magical figure since all theaters are running with houseful collections. We are grateful to Mahesh Babu forever.”

Anil Sunkara said, “We are very happy to announce that ‘Dookudu’ stands in top ten among Indian movies. This movie was released in South Africa, Netherlands and Finland also. Altogether the movie was released in 1600 theaters worldwide. Few dialogues in this film are unbelievable and amazing. ‘Dookudu’ made all time record by collecting Rs 21.22 crores in just 3 days and exhibited its stamina internationally.
