Aali and Indraja starer 'Yamaleela', directed by SV Krishna Reddy and produced by Atchi Reddy on Manisha Films banner has completed two decades on April 28. The film was released on April 28, 1994 and became a super duper hit. Therefore a press meet was organized on this occasion to recollect the past glory and announce the details of its sequel. BA Raju, SV Krishna Reddy and k Atchi Reddy participated in the press meet.

B A Raju, the senior Journalist and head of Superhit magazine said, “We all know that ‘Yamaleela' which was directed by S V Krishna Reddy and got released in April,1994 celebrated Golden Jubilee. It has completed 20 years this April. S V Krishna Reddy made this film with comedian Aali as a hero and created a sensation. It is a blockbuster hit for both Krishna Reddy and Aali. Now its a privilege for me to work with the same team for ‘Yamaleela 2’."

Krishna Reddy, the renowned director known for family oriented movies said, “Whenever i think of success, collections and the tempo which Yamaleela has created, it gives me a sense of fulfillment and happiness. The audience still wait for such beautiful comedy movies. Even now, the Telugu audience and cinema lovers who meet me say that my movies display decent comedy without any vulgarity. They say that my movies don't have that slapstick comedy and that they are eagerly waiting for such movies under my direction. The performances of Kaikala Satyanarayana garu as Yama and Aali's comedy is unforgettable. i always wanted to do comedy movies without vulgarity and the Telugu audience always gave me the confidence by making my movies big hits. Producers with huge guts are required to make such films. The support which I have received from Atchi Reddy garu is unforgettable. Good movies will always get good collections. The recent hit ‘Attharintiki Daaredi’ is the best example. After 20 years, I am directing ‘Yamaleela 2’ under the production of Krishvi Films banner. The character of Mohan Babu garu will be highlight of this movie and it's needless to mention about Brahmanandam garu, as he is known for playing best comedy roles. V Satish is the hero of this movie. We wanted to fulfill the dreams of his friends who wanted to see this hard working, talented young man as a hero. Everyone in the unit is working hard and making efforts to make this as a wonderful movie. This is the highest budget movie which I have worked till date. I am confident that the Telugu audience will make it a grand success”.

K Atchi Reddy said,”Yamaleela movie has completed 20 years and gave a wonderful feeling. We have started this movie to introduce the talent of S V Krishna Reddy to the Telugu film industry. We have achieved a lot and there is still a lot which we have to do. ‘Yamaleela’ has set a milestone in our journey. Even before ‘Yamaleela’, Krishna Reddy was a successful director with the movies like 'Rajendrudu Gajendrudu’, ‘Mayalodu’, etc., and during that successful run, making a movie with a comedian like Aali as a hero was a daring step. Most of the people said that it is a risk, but we were confident on what we were doing and went ahead with our plans. It is one among top 10 movies in 1990’s. Even now it is a confidence booster for us in some or the other way. It has also created records in collections and earned good recognition to 'Manisha Films’ in Telugu film industry. Following the success of this film, Krishna Reddy made few other movies, but later took break from making movies. We are really happy that he is back to business with ‘Yamaleela 2’. We wanted to make the film that suits the audience expectations and Krisvi Films extended their support in this mission. Hero Satish, who is already a successful business man will prove his talent in acting as well with this film. We all have confidence in him. We are enjoying each and every moment during making of this movie. We are hopeful and confident that this movie is going to please the audience”.
