Santosham 12th Anniversary Awards 2014

Suresh Kondeti, who for the past 12 years is making the readers of ‘Santosham’ cine magazine happy and increasing the circulation year by year, has organized the South Indian film award function grandly at GRC Convention, Hyderabad. Like every year, this year too film festival was happened in a grand way with the presence of all prominent people and legends in the industry. Suresh Kondeti has received accolades from across the industry for organizing this event with his own experience and taste. The event which has started at on August 30th at 5:30 pm has progressed with the accolades of invities and continued till late night at 12:30.

Super Star Krishna, Dr. Chiranjeevi, Allu Aravind, Allu Arjun, Nagababu, Dr. T Subbirami Reddy, Veteran actresses Shavukaru Janaki, Krishna Kumari, Jaya Malini, B Saroja and Ambika and some others along with some prominent people in the film industry have graced the event.

Suresh Kondeti has included ANR memorial award:

The credit of giving the award in the name of Sri Akkineni Nareswara Rao, who has recently demised, will go to Suresh Kondeti the establisher of ‘Santosham’ cine magazine. In Telugu industry Super Star Krishna has received the ANR award, while in Tamil industry senior actress Shavukaru Janaki has received the award. Prominent senior actress Ambika has received the award from Malayalam industry and from Kannada region B Saroja Devi has received the award.

‘Sri Jagadguru Aadishankaracharya’, ‘Swami Ra Ra’, ‘Uyyala Jampala’, ‘Mallela Theeramlo Sirimalle Puvvu’, ‘Gundejaari Gallanthayyinde’ and ‘Venkatadhri Express’ films have won appreciations from the critics and selected as best films of the year.

K Raghavendra Rao, who has completed 50 years (10 years as an assistant director and 30 years as a director) was felicitated on this occasion for his contribution to the Telugu film industry.

Prominent senior actor Kota Srinivasa Rao and comedian Brahmanandam were also felicitated on the same stage recognizing their service to the Telugu film industry for the past 30 years.

Life achievement awards and wristlets were presented to famous senior actor Chandra Mohan and prominent senior actresses Shahukaru Janaki, Krishna Kumari, Jaya Malini, B Saroja and Ambika through Vijaya Nirmala.

Prominent industrialist Raghurama Raju has given financial assistance to the senior actor Potti Veerayya, KK Sarma and AV Ramana who are in unaided status.

E Satti Babu has received the EVV memorial award.

Prominent senior actor Rallapalli has received the Allu Ramalingayya memorial award.

On this occasion Chiranjeevi said, “Nageswara Rao has lot of respect for Suresh Kondeti. As a tribute to that Suresh has included ANR memorial award in the Santosham awards. There is no exaggeration in saying that including ANR award will further increase the reputation of Santosham awards.”

“The one who is eligible for ANR award is none other than Krishna. He has excelled as a hero, producer and as an owner of prestigious studio. He always treated everyone in the industry as his own family member. I feel it as a privilege to present this award to Krishna through my hands. 12 years ago, Suresh came to me and said that he is going to start a cine magazine. I felt happy and said Ok for that. And soon after few months, he came to me and said that he is going to organize film festival. I felt that it would be a burden to him. And now, not just one or two, it is an extraordinary thing to organize 12 such functions without any break. He has made this award equivalent to film fare awards. My hearty wishes to him,” Chiranjeevi added.

Speaking at the function Movie Moghal Dr.D Ramanaidu said, “I’m very happy to be part of this ‘Santosham’ award function. I wish Santosham cine magazine which has completed 12 years will continue its success and organize many functions in future.”

Ambika, who received ANR memorial award, expressed her views saying, “I’m very happy to receive the award from K Raghavendra Rao. I congratulate Suresh Kondeti for organizing this wonderful event.”

Sunil said, “I’m very happy to receive the award from Chiranjeevi. I congratulate Suresh Kondeti for organizing this wonderful event.”

Jayamalini, who has wooed the Telugu film industry with her dances, is a special attraction at this event. Jayamalini, who was away from the film industry after her marriage has attended the ‘Santosham’ cine award function and given a kick to the audience with her performance for the song ‘O Subbaravu…O Apparavu…’. She said that she is really happy to come to Hyderabad after 22 years for this function organized by Suresh Kondeti. She received applauds for both her performances.

Speaking at the function, Murali Mohan said, “It’s not an ordinary thing to present ‘Santosham’ awards for 12 years without a break. I wish Santosham cine magazine which has completed 12 years will continue its success and organize many functions in future.”

Super Star Krishna said, “I’m very happy to receive the ANR memorial award. It is an unforgettable thing to receive this award. I congratulate Suresh Kondeti for presenting ANR awards.”

Smt Vijaya Nirmala expressed, “I’m very happy that Krishna has received ANR award. I always feel it as a privilege to get a chance of directing ANR. Now, Santosham awards have turned to Santosham prestigious awards. I wish ‘Santosham’ cine magazine will continue its success and organize many functions in future.”

Dr. T Subbirami Reddy, Allu Arjun, Harshvardhan, Allu Aravind, Chandra Mohan, Ambika Krishna, Kodirama Krishna, Nagababu, Maruthi, Shahukaru Janaki, Samantha, Giri babu, JK Bhargavi, Ramesh Prasad too spoke at the function and said that they are feeling very happy to be part of the function and wished that ‘Santosham’ cine magazine will continue its success and organize many functions in future.
