Hi Anisha, how are you?
I'm doing very good.

Describe yourself using three adjectives?South Indian Actress Anisha Ambrose
Confident, Adventurous and Persevering.

Tell us about your family?
I come from a family of educationists. We are a very close-knit family.

Was your entry in the industry is just an accident or planned?
My entry was never planned. In fact I never dreamt of being an actress.

Is your family supportive to you as far as your acting dreams are concerned?
I come from a Pentecostal Christian background and my family members have always wanted that I use my talents for Gods glory, of course I do want the same thing. The film industry initially hardly seemed to be the right place to do so- however, my father felt that God can use me even through a career in acting and it is my prayer that I get socially significant roles that will help to make an impact in society.

What’s the best thing that you like about your profession?
There is a lot of thrill in acting. You meet new people and they become your close friends, more like family. And you travel this beautiful journey with them. In acting you always want to give your best and you don't need any perks to drive that rush.

How was it like when you faced the camera for the first time?
I love being in front of the camera. What I was worried about were the number of people watching me, but once I met the team my nervousness dropped way low and I was able to give my best.

You are doing two films at a time for Sanghamitra Arts banner.  What can you tell us about both the films ‘Alias Janaki’ and ‘Arey Rey’?
‘Alias Janaki’ is a movie which will be a - Moral Revolution, as the tagline says. It’s an intense soul searching movie. Whereas, ‘Areyrey’ is a Rom Com, more fun and lively.

Can you reveal what your characters will be like in both films? How do both characters differ from each other?
Both the characters are very different, the role I play in AJ is of a very fun loving girl and in ‘Areyrey’, I'm more of a responsible working woman.

How do you prepare for your roles?
I rehearse my dialogues, sometimes in front of the mirror ;) and other times along with my cast.

Do any of the two characters really resemble you?
Yes they do! I have a mixture of both the sides in me.

You have already completed shooting major part of ‘Alias Janaki’ opposite your costar Venkat Rahul.  How comfortable are you with him?Alias Janaki heroine Anisha Ambrose
Initially I dint know how it would be working with someone who has so much experience in the industry. But Rahul is one of the most down to earth, good hearted, and genuine persons I've come across. We became friends instantly!

What was the atmosphere like on the shooting sets?  Any interesting stories to share with our readers?
It was like preparing for a big event at College. Just the normal fun and frolic in-between shots.

Give us a brief idea about the director too?
Daya Sir, is a very quiet and focused person, he knows what he wants! He made acting even more easy for me. Being the brilliant actor he is, whenever I would get a little confused about the scene he would enact it for me and that helped me perform better.

‘Alias Janaki’ audio has been recently released?  How is the response for it?
The audio has been a HUGE success!! I knew it would, because I fell in love with the rough tracks itself and I was sure once the audio was released people would love them! Sravan has done a mind-blowing job!

When will the film be released?
Hopefully, in July.

What songs are in your regular running playlist including the ones in your film ‘Alias Janaki’?
‘Konchem Konchem’ is my favourite from ‘Alias Janaki’.

When you were first approached with a script, what was the first thing that went through your mind?
I was taken by surprise!! and the first thing that went through my mind was- God is this really what you want me to do? If so, help me to put in my 100%.

What is it like to work with producer Neelima Tirumalasetti?
It has been Awesome!! And a very satisfying experience.

How is it to have this life of actress, while at work in Dell?
I have long since quit Dell and I’m concentrating on my present career.

Are you missing your colleagues at Dell?
We still keep in touch with each other.

What all do you do to enhance your beauty?  Would you like to share some tips?
Sleep well, Exercise and eat well…as simple as that! :)
