Young and aspiring hero Naga Shaurya, who got introduced to Telugu audience through a small role in ‘Chandamama Kathalu’, has stole the show with male lead character Venkateswara Rao in the recently released ‘Oohalu Gusagusalaade’. The film was released last Friday and running successfully in theaters with hit-talk. Therefore this aspiring actor who wish to work with directors like Rajamouli and Gautham Menon, revealed how he landed as hero of 'Oohalu Gusagusalaade' and what kind of films he would prefer to do in future. Here are few excerpts:

We would like to hear from you about the audience’s response for the film ‘Oohalu Gusagusalaade’?
There is tremendous response from the audience mainly because the comedy is very clean without any vulgarity in dialogues or scenes.  Hence people from all walks of life are enjoying the film thoroughly.  I’m getting good feedback about the film everyday.  Movie is doing great at overseas.  It has collected $50 thousand dollars.

You seem to be on cloud nine after Balakrishna appreciated your film, right!Naga Shaurya Interview
Yeah, absolutely!  I felt immensely happy when Balakrishna garu watched the film and appreciated.  I would be much happier if I receive compliments from Nagarjuna garu as well. I’m just waiting for that moment.

How did you get into films?
Right from my childhood I’m passionate about films.  Since four years I had been constantly trying to get into films by all means and ways.  Finally when I gave up my hopes of getting into films, I saw the casting call ad for this film.  So I decided to make my last attempt and sent my bio-data along with my photographs.  After few days of auditions, that is on the auspicious day of Vinayaka Chavithy, I got a call saying that I was selected for the male lead role.  I was also surprised to know that Srinivas Avasarala was the director of the film.  Later the film was launched and thereafter everything went on smoothly.

What was your reaction when you first faced the camera?
I had no difficulty in facing the camera because I had already done several auditions for film opportunities before and even went for a workshop 20 days before ‘Oohalu Gusagusalaade’ began. So I felt thrilled when I first did an auto scene.  Even though ‘Chandamama Kathalu’ got released first, I officially signed this film first.  So this is my first film as a hero.

Tell us about your working experience with Sreeni Avasarala?
It was absolutely comfortable. He never ever gave a feeling to me that he was a director and I’m an actor.  He has extracted good work from me.  But as an actor he has dominated all of us.  I was really impressed with his comedy timing and talented communication.

What kind of films would you prefer to choose in future?
Story is very important to the film.  So according to me, story is the hero.  I want to leave an impression that Naga Shaurya’s films will have new content.  In line with that I want to do films.

What are your dream roles?
I’m a great fan of Akkineni Nagarjuna garu.  I wish to do a film like ‘Ninne Pelladutha’ some time in my career.  I consider that as my dream project.  Similarly if given a chance I want to work with directors like Rajamouli, Gautham Menon and Boyapati Sreenu garu.  Infact I want to work with several directors in the industry, try various subjects and prove myself as a good actor.

What is your next film?
I’ve two films in hand.  One is ‘Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya’ under Koti garu’s direction.  He worked as a co-director to Rajamouli garu.  This film is also being produced by Sai Korrapati garu.  My second film is ‘Lakshmi Rave Maa Intiki’ in which I’m playing the male lead character.
