Tamanna Bhatia, the sweet looking Punjabi girl, is fondly called as Madhu after the block-buster ‘Happy Days’. This film is a great milestone in her film career which brought many offers in Telugu and Tamil as well. She did a deglamourised role in a Tamil film ‘Kalloori’ and won rave reviews. Now, for the first time the audience get to see her as a village girl in ‘Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam’ co-starring Siddarth. Directed by Dolly and produced by Bujji, the film is releasing tomorrow, the 5th of February at 1:01 PM. On this occasion, here are some excerpts:

Tamanna who is very happy and confident about KIKK says, After the success of ‘Happy Days’, I was in no hurry to sign films. Infact when I was waiting for the right film in Telugu, KIKK came my way. I liked the subject so much that I had no second thoughts for it. And when I came to know that the male lead is being played by Siddarth I was even happy because I felt we make a perfect pair for this film. I am also happy to work with director like Kishore and producer like Srinivas. Both of them are so professional that they never compromise in anything until they get what they wanted.

Script is the greatest asset for this film. Kishore being a new director never appeared so, on the sets. He was so confident about what he was doing and planned everything well in advance. Hence, we were able to complete the shoot as per the planned schedule.

My role in this film is a simple girl by name Geeta who comes from a village background. This is the first time I am playing one such role which is a pleasing personality, a very homely girl who has certain principles in life and who respects her religious views. A lovable character indeed!

What can I say about Siddarth, as you all know he is an amazing actor. He is the best suited actor for any romantic flick. I liked him as an actor after I watched NVNV and of course Rang De Basanthi.

To talk about KIKK’s music, it has a vital role to play. It’s a flawless music that goes along with mood of the running movie making it livelier.

Yet another highlight of KIKK would be Siddarth and Prakash Raj combination. This is the third time that they are playing father and son after NVNV and Bommarillu but one can notice the variation in their characters compared to the earlier ones.

Right now, I’ve not yet signed any other film in Telugu since I’m busy shooting for the Tamil remake of ‘Jab We Met’ and also another film in the direction of Lingu Swamy. It is very unfortunate that I had to opt out of Mahesh Babu’s film due to unavailability of dates, explains Tamanna.

Although Happy Days has paved a way for more opportunities both in Telugu and Tamil, I would prefer to sign a film based on the script and not anything else. Infact, I’m waiting for one such role like Jyothika’s in ‘Chandramukhi’ , expressed the aspiring actress Tamanna whose claims Madhuri Dixit to be her role model.
