World Yoga Day 2016 Celebrations by Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad
Apollo Hospitals celebrated the 'International Day of Yoga' by hosting a Yoga Session on Tuesdy at Apollo Health City, Jubilee Hills. The leadership team and Senior Consultant Doctors led the staff including Nurses, Paramedics, Administrative staff and Patients for a Yoga session, besides educating the audience on the importance of Yoga in leading a health life.
Apollo Hospitals Group is commemorating the day by making elaborate arrangements across its hospitals in the city. This was done by heeding to the clarion call given by Padma Vibhushan Dr Prathap C. Reddy, Founder Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group, to spread the word of good health by practicing Yoga, which is in accordance with the visionary direction given by our Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji.
According to Ms Sangita Reddy, Being healthy means being in a state of complete physical, mental & social wellbeing. Yoga an invaluable gift from our ancestors embodies the very essence of a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. It has immense potential to keep at bay several modern day ailments like Hypertension, Diabetes, Obesity, Stress, Depression, she said. It's time we make it a part of our life and lead a life of all round wellness, she added.
Around two hundred staff and patients took part in the session at Jubilee Hills. Separate Yoga sessions were also held in the Apollo Hospitals at Secunderabad, Hyderguda, Kanchanbagh, Kukatpally, Karimnagar etc.
