Personal factor has always remained the hallmark of the artistic oeuvre of Kiran Kumar Varikilla. He has sought inspiration for his work from the very core of his being. He has refrained himself from changing the directness of his expression in all the ways. He has bare himself on his medium of expression with the modesty and frankness which is modern/contemporary and very strong in personal connotation.
Kiran has been working with the exploration of the structural grace in human bodies and the intimacy shared between them. The female form in all its rhythmic aesthetics appears frequently in the compositions. The zoomed in and enlarged sections apparently look abstract but on a closer look make their presence felt.
The geometrical division of the picture surface grants the works a visual balance and structural strength. The inclusion of a number of square planes and rectangles contribute in assimilating inside a single work, a number of smaller compositions. Each small section is completely balanced and intricately rendered as a perfect form of expression.
His works are like conversations with the self, a soliloquy, which is real and very personal at the same time. Yet there are so many aspects to them that are ubiquitous and Universal in their extents.
