Qadir All Baig Theatre Foundation takes delight In announcing the 12th edition of the much- anticipated and eagerly awaited Qadir Ali Baig Theatre, which Is a true tribute to the ever inspirational artiste, is also a celebration of world class theatre right here in Hyderabad, from where the great man’s journey began
The 12th edition, In joint collaboration with British Council, British Film Institute and Tclangana Tourism, will be showcased at various stages from October 27 to November 6, 2017.
The ensuing Qadir All Baig Theatre Festival will feature v/orks of globally acclaimed playwrights like Ibsen, Manto, Alkazi and Dattanl. among others. It hosts 136 artistes at various venues across the city for 10 days, including at Ravindra Bharathi, Taramat! Baradari Indoor Auditorium, Park Hyatt, HICC, Surabhi Auditorium and The Trident Hotel
The Festival that has placed Hyderabad on the global map of excellence and is on the calendar of major international repertories is widely acknowledged as one of the four largest theatre festivals in the country and arguably the biggest privately-run theatre festival.
Meanwhile, an electrifying experience it will be for all those who visit the festival Sitar maestro Anoushka Shankar with her 7-member orchestra from london, Mushtaq Kak's Amateur Theatre Group from Kashmir. Delhi's Fcisal Alkaii, Mumbai's Ha Arun, Manav Kaul, Nadira Babbar. Chandigarh's Neelam Man Singh Chowdhry, Surabhi Theatre and Mohammad Ali Baig will be in town to bring cheer to those seeking blissfully blessed out.ngs during the ten-day festival. Each play would be meaningful, soclally-relevant and thought provoking.
