Gelatissimo, a globally acclaimed, premium award winning artisan Gelato brand made it's India debut by inaugurating it's India's flagship store in Hyderabad on Wednesday, 19th Dec.
With over 66 stores across the globe and presence in 9 countries, Gelatissimo is expanding it's footprints in India. The premium Geiato brand is bullish on the incredible India growth story to grab market share in the 8000 Crores Ice cream cum Gelato market.
Gelatissimo India is a young vibrant company co-founded by young entrepreneurs Sangeeta Dumpeta and Manisha Mishra with plans to expand to 50 stores in South India by 2022 and 100 stores across India by 2025.
"Franchise sales and profitability are the key to rapid expansion in this ever growing market and we will showcase exemplary service and product standard in our flagship store for our franchise partners to witness" says Co founder and Managing Director Sangeetha Dumpeta
"Per capital ice cream consumption in India is still at 400 ml as compared to 22000 ml in USA and 3000 ml in China. With introduction of a much healthier options such as Gelato we see tremendous scope in taking per capita consumption to 1000 ml by 2025 doubling the market size, and therefore brand and product awareness is the key focus for Gelatissimo India" says Co founder and head of Marketing, Manisha Mishra, Gelatissimo India.
The Gelatissimo brand is extremely excited by the current expansion into South Asia. In the last 2 months we have expanded to open 3 stores in Bangladesh, and now our first flagship location in Hyderabad, India.
We foresee such potential for growth in these markets. The sheer volume of population is a huge factor for us venturing into Southern Asia.
The demand for sweets and desserts amongst the people in Hyderabad is one of the reasons for Gelatissimo to launch its very debut store in the country.
Gelatissimo uses no artificial colours and no artificial flavours in our gelato, giving the consumer an option in the market for a choice that is "guilt free".
We look forward to many more store openings in India in the future.
