Hyderabad, June 21st, 2019: Padmashri Shankar Mahadevan enthralled Hyderabadis with his mesmerizing music at Sparsh Nite 2019. Sparsh Hospice organised its annual fund raiser Sparsh Nite 2019 to raise funds, approximately Rs 1crore. This fund raising program was conceived to part finance Telangana’s biggest 70 bedded hospital – Sparsh Hospice for palliative care. Sparsh has been providing free care to terminally ill cancer patients. This new facility is coming at the cost of Rs 13.13crore at Khazaguda in Hyderabad.
Prior to his performance this morning Shankar Mahadevan visited Sparsh Hospice at Road No. 12, Banjara Hills. He spent 45 minutes there interacting with patients. He greeted them with traditional namaskar and invited them to attend Sparsh Nite his performance in the evening.He showed lot of concern for their care and appreciated Sparsh Hospice for their services.
Anchored by Suma Kanakala, he started his performance with prayer Ganesha Vandanam, Ekadantaya Vakratundaya Gauri Tanaya. His performance was very engaging. This fans sang many songs along with him.
Sparsh Hospice Facility offers comfort and pain relief to terminal cancer patients. The 60,000 sq feet facility construction has already begun and will be completed at the earliest as per the availability and pace at which the funds are raised. The hospice is coming up on the one acre land given by the Government of Telangana.
