The Lakhotia Institute of design - LID, Hyderabad, India where fashion is always related to art creativity and skill of a designer. This is the institute which believes in shaping the future, designing destinies of the gen next designers, provide students with an in-depth knowledge in Fashion and Interior design, photography and Modelling.

It has indeed been an interesting 1st semester for The Lakhotia institute of Design where it is our honest endeavour to impart quality education and constantly innovate. The curriculum is research based which develops the investigative mind of the students.
Children represent our future, they need to be loved and cared for, the recent scandal of 400 children rescued from the bangle sweat shops in Hyderabad has stunned the world . The Lakotia Institute of Design has our sympathies with those children who have lost their innocent childhood and their minds have been scarred for life. This fashion show is a tribute to all those children who have are trapped in bonded labour and lost their childhood innocence.

India is a land of festivals where every state has its own festival and it is one big party, Sweety Agarwal, Rasna Jain, Manisha, Savita, Harika and Nikita present to you a collection which highlights the festival s of India in a colour pallete that represents India.

The 70's represented an era where the youth made a statement, they rebelled against a regimented society, a society which called for various protocols. The youth longed for love, they longed for a change where the only sole purpose of life was to love and to connect with nature.

The treasures of the ocean are often hidden and one of them is the precious pearl. It's subtle beauty and radiance bedazzles everyone, but our rebellious set of designers comprising of Ayshi Somani, Priyanka Modani, Neha Shinde, Ayesha Maliha, Manisha Dixit and K.Priyanka have juxtaposed it against a colour pallete of Water melon red, Purple haze and tangy orange in a fun collection of shorts, tank tops, frilly tops and dresses where the pearls are highlighted like Hidden treasures. The Silk Route- The Mystery of a distant past, the beauty of an exotic land , Culture that is Mystical, where every weave has a tale to tell, tales and influences that were carried by the traders who went through the silk route.
Ragini, Pranita, Palak, and Jayadeep present to you Silk Route an Ethinic wear collection for girls in the age group of Highlighted by precious embroidery Margam work, Zardozi embroidered by our very own students and an interplay of pleated lehengas gives you an exotic collection called The Silk route.

Our penultimate sequence Thumakda Thumakda is dedicated to the Great Indian wedding, where there is a lot of fun, happiness and a free spirit, where young children dance in a gay abandon. This collection of lehengas and dresses in bright colours and precious embroideries is designed by our student designers to you by
