FLO announced Skill Development Initiative "Women in Transport" for Empowering Women in association with Govt of Telangana and Maruti Suzuki Driving School An interactive session "Love yourself enough to live a healthy lifestyle" held
FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO), a national body, a division of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) announced "Hunar hai toh kadar hai", "Women in Transport". This is a skill development joint initiative of FLO and Government of Telangana being taken up association with Maruti Suzuki Driving School to empower women, announced Rekha Lahoti, Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad while addressing a press conference here in city on Monday.
The objectives of this most sought after initiative is to empower women with much valued skills to provide sustainable opportunities for their socio-economic growth and livelihood. We hope to train around 200 women in driving skills in Hyderabad, Rekha informed..
It is our constant and passionate endeavor to empower women in developing skills for creating sustainable income for themselves at all times, she added.
Speaking further Rekha informed that we would be happy to look for employment in synergy with RTA, Government and other NGOs.
Women in the age group of 18-35 are eligible to take part in this skill development training. Minimum qualification required is SSC. They should have a family income less than rupees three lakhs.
An interactive session "Love yourself enough to live a healthy Lifestyle" held immediately after the press conference. Padmashri Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of the biggest gastroenterology hospital in the world, Asian Institute of Gastroenterology and Dr. Rupa Banerjee. Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist Director, IBD Clinic from the same hospital addressed the 150 plus FLO gathering on the subject. They spoke about happy and healthy lifestyle. To do so how smart decision make one get healthy, stay healthy and live well every day.
How to balance digestion, importance of proper digestion, few easy to follow steps on intestinal health etc to avoid falling sick were told. Is your digestive system making you sick? They asked. A healthy human being has a balance of new energy flowing into the system and old energy flowing out of it they informed.
We are off balance when our digestion is off balance. So the participants were told to learn to make simple lifestyle changes to boost their physical and mental health.
